Paint Shop Pro X2
I'm having an issue with TGA files for Falcon 4. I am using PSP X2 to make/modify images for F4. When I pull them up to edit them in PSPX2 they are all coming in as greyscale images without any color. But when I view them in Falcon they have their color. Can I change something in PSPX2 to correct this behavior?

I had the same problem. I have had to use different programs for different graphic formats in the UI. I like PSP X2, but the TGA's don't work. I use Photoshop for some things, like CATE BMP work. 2 other freeware programs that I have used are Gimp2 and Paint.net. At the moment I don't remember, which program I used for what file type, but with those I managed to edit out all the maps in the UI. I hope that helps.

Thanks Epic. Glad to hear its not just me. Oh, well...guess I will either go back to PSP7 (if it will run on Win7 64bit) or I will have to learn Paintshop...Epic wrote:Sherlock

Re: Paint Shop Pro X2
Just a thought...
Most Falcon TGA's use an 8-bit mode for the color pallate.
TGA's in 8-bit mode can be either 256 color or greyscale.
Perhaps PSP is defaulting to greyscale? Try looking around for a way to switch the mode to 8-bit 256 color. (I don't use PSP so I don't know where that option would be found or if it even exists.)
