New terrain of argentina

Hello Snake, as Finley map is reaching a level where i will require GE10 to continue editing it, i’d like to ask you if it would be possible to have base files for a map in Argentina, not with the precision of USA datafiles but maybe the aerial or satellite imagery, i would like it to be 20kmx20km if possible, the location is a town in Buenos Aires province

I dont know if there is any elevation map of Buenos Aires province but i would be glad to have good quality aerial/satellital imagery as i know the location pretty well

Got a google/maps link for this terrain center location and added proper terrain name for the topic.

I'll try to take a look at it before release, I know there is SRTM 30m data available globally, but I bet south america has some kind of higher res data. Can you try to google search in your own language maybe you would find some government website or something that provides such data, I might not find because I don't know the language.

I just checked the national geographic institute but there isnt any data better than 30 meters so we will have to stick to SRTM data

Roger that, hey please keep reminding me, feel free to nag "is it done yet?" etc because I am extremely busy with Sea Power beta testing, HTML web page editing, tutorial writing etc, I'll try to get to it and I'll bookmark this topic to my TODO notes, but you are the best guy to keep reminding me that this terrain source data gets done. I'll try to get to it as soon as possible but for tonight for example it could be several hours as I'm so busy with everything.

That "20km" text is on the center point, I did it that way instead of the traditional "X" marks the center spot. Let me know how that looks, I can process the source data then.

Edit: I actually started to download that terrain grid selection data-set already in anticipation that you give it OK good to go. If its on a wrong spot don't be shy to say so, I just clicked download its no big deal. Also not sure if this new Global Mapper v25 exports it properly, I might have to revert back to the old version, I recall few months back there was some problem with size, instead of doing 1000 it did like 999 or 1001 cant recall the specifics, anyways.
