M35 trucks work in progress for VTE
As some of you maybe have discovered in the BIS forums under my CYM Topic, I ma working on several M35 trucks for VTE.
Right now I am working on a ARVN truck now but I could need help from a animator for making some new animations for the trucks.
So far Im trying (very porly as you can see) to adjust some animations so they fit
I wanted to make this as I have seen many videos and pics where ARVN trucks are fully crowded with soldiers like on this youtube video:

Thanks, I did also work a lot on the models so far.Frantz wrote:Nice work so far !
Here is btw the US Army truck
The Guntruck here is not fully working yet and this one is btw only a concept for testing:
I will try to make a more realistic one of the 1st and 3rd generations for the final VTE Guntrucks.

Excellent work there, looking very nice.
Sorry that I didn't fix up the turrets for the example truck (wheel) config, I'll see if I can get away from other VTE editing to fix up the turrets. I guess it would be quite nice to spray the neighborhood from the flatbed
Did you want to replace the models with M60 or keep the BIS M2 there?
Anyways dont hold your breath for the config, I'll try to do it if I have the time.

No problem, after all I nearly got nuts with the bug I couldnt find.
All guntrucks had M60 mounted together with some M60 in the 1st and second generations. Hopefully I can provide some pics of 1 or 2 models in the next few days.Snake Man wrote:]Did you want to replace the models with M60 or keep the BIS M2 there?

Yeah its funny man, I always looked down upon the million re-texture guys out there that they arent real addon makers as they just do small edits and then reap the fame. Well damn, I wish I had even one (1) average texture artist now working with us... we have so much to texture

Your fuel truck should look like this M49A2C but obviously in Nam green colours.

As for labels. Nope.

As you can see the good thing is that the M49 is on my todo list, the bad things is that its still in progress and one of the last ones to be finished. It will not be a part of the first beta which I will give to VTE, but defently be in the final release.

First of all an apologize for all and Snake Man as I didnt send the beta for VTE as I planned too. But first I had to remove Vista from my PC and install XP as Vista only gave problems when modding and then I got sick from which I am recovering slowly now. But I got some (hopefully) interesting news for you.
While beeing sick I found some youtube videos of the series "Tour of Duty" and luckely the one where you can see some M35 trucks. I remodelled on of the "open" trucks to match it and this is the result.
Further the Guntruck "The Mafia" is finishing progress and here are some screens:

No need to apologize, the final alpha is still far away and there is plenty of time to drop in your models. Take your time and don't worry for VTE sake.
Btw the trucks look real nice.

Sorry for replying so late. Because I have lost my job and other problems I have been busy trying to fix with my private life first. Im still stuck with some problems making RMMAT Files and getting the guns to work on hte guntrucks. If you can help one of the two things it would be good.granQ wrote:You need any help?

Re: M35 trucks work in progress for VTE
itim_tuko sent me the latest truck models yesterday and I did some fine tuning on them. Made sure that there are new (ugly, but working) lower resolution LODs which end 100 polys or less, now the trucks are high performance models ingame.
Next I tried to sort out the guntruck's turrets but that work is still underway.
Anyways the trucks are ingame and working without major errors, so far so good.
