heya folks,
iirc the terrain tutorial and related articles are available for quite some so i'm wondering if it's possible to obtain improved dem & dwc data or the sites in the tutorials are still the best option for their price (free fgs!

There was this some SRTM elevation data at least in OpenFalcon, but I don't know anything about it except that its supposed to be 250m elevation data while our traditional DEM from tutorials is 1000m.

hello Snakeman,
thanx for the reply, i too am aware of the srtm data that was introduced by B & Z, tho i have no idea if it's possible to obtain this data in a format which dem2terrain can handle to begin with....
anyway, thanx a lot! 8)

Good question...where did b and z get their 250m SRTM data (what source). And could we possibly approach them for using their tools they programmed to convert it to Falcon format?...
