Adding the aim7

Hi guys, I'm new here as this is my first post.
I was wondering if someone could give me some help with something.

I'm trying to edit the Israeli campaign for F4AF and all I'm trying to do is add the Aim-7 to the f16.
I did get f4browse and manage to add it to squadron stores and aircraft as well.
Im even able to select it on my payload screen in the game, but the problem i have is, once I'm in the pit i cannot select the aim7 on my SMS page while I have other a2a weapons on my wing.

Eg, if i shoot off my Aim 9's I'm then only able to select the aim7, unless i do that i don't have access to the weapon at all no matter what button i press.

In the interest of making a historical war, i removed the aim120b/c4 from the f16 and was hoping to swap it for any variant of the aim7.
Ive tried all the variants of the Aim7's but same problem keeps happening

Can someone please help me out by telling me what I'm doing wrong?
