ArmA Multi-Session VTE Missions

Post by Foxhound_aus » 2008-10-17 15:52:55

Missions on the XDF Arma Server now have the capability to run over multiple sessions. Each time logging on you pickup where you left off previously. Details such as location, ammo state, damage are retained.

Scenarios are predominantly long distance patrolling with some direct action stuff. The server is currently setup to support a maximum of 30 users.

If your keen to get involved or know someone who might be contact me via email foxhound_aus@hotmail.com to obtain further details.

Click http://www.xgn.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=526 to see mission reports in the XDF forum. This will give you an insight into what the missions are like.

That's quite interesting, did I understand it correctly that this is like a series of missions, running one per day (or several days) and when its completed, admin loads a next mission?

Its one mission that users can log onto each time and resume where they left off. Data such as location, damage, ammo etc etc is stored and retained whenever users log on and off.

Missions typically run for about a week.

passworded?
They train young men to drop fire on people. But their commanders won't allow them to write "Fuck" on their airplanes because it's obscene!

If your interested send me an email at foxhound_Aus@hotmail.com and I'll provide you access to the server.

Col Dick Sterling from these forums has been on a few patrols during the current mission.

Ive missed quite a few of the patrols the following gives a summary of what has happened so far.
- Intel has been located giving approx location of 6 of the 8 tunnel entrances in the AO.
- No forum reports of any tunnel entrances being destroyed so far.
- 3 of the 7 weapons crates have been blown up.
- 1 KIA reported so far.
- 10 poeple have been involved in the mission so far. The most in a single patrol is 6.

Refer to below screenshot of intel markings after 4days of patrolling.
