Dominiation in vietnam..

I got premission from Xeno to make a VTE version of his great mission which suits a vietnam era perfectly.

Basicly, if you never heard about it. You start at an airport and then gets "random" objectives that will be perfect for a group to go out with the Uh-1 and complete. Patrol and such..

For the people that already know the mission I can say I am working on some minor changes, for instance only people that carry the radio will be able to call in artillery and will disable the "parajump" function that is great but doesn't fit into a vietnam style.

Another thing is that you can recruit ai soldiers on your command in dominiation but in my version it will also be different soldiers depending who is using the action. Aircav guys get aircav guys and the tigerstripe people get tigerstripes.

It will also be limited how many "special" guys you can get in your group, like AT, MG personal.. doesn't like the "unrealistic" behaviour when you play missions like dominiation/evolution and a squad on 12 people all got the same gear.. AT.

in other news, T55 and Ah1G weapons and turrets are working fine..

Do you mean Xeno has released his mission without permission or crediting the original author ?

xeno took the entire concept ,name and rewrote the mission .

When it was expressed that that isnt the way to do it he said he will do it anyway cos noone knows the original mission creator and hes' well known on the forums. And on the strenght of that he stole thw whole thing and released it on the forums.
Prettty shallow stuff.
Placebo from the bisforums is aware of this and is watching closely.
Has he done any other good missions?........

or was "his" domination a one hit wonder?........

Sorry to dig up such an old thread but I haven't seen it earlier.

I got a private mail in BIS forum from that guy (I guess it was in August, can't remember it exactly) and the text was only something like "at least you can say thank you".
Well, then you start to wonder for what you should say thank you because you haven't even heard the name anzacsas (or in BIS forum ANZACSAS Steve) before. Then he wrote me that I have stolen his concept and that I was on his server and talked about his concept and some mission called Operation xxx (can't remember the name). Funny thing is I never was on his server nor did I talk about some concepts or whatever on another server nor had I ever heard about Operation xxx.

I started with Domination last year because I got sick of Evolution and wanted to have a mission for my server that enforces team play and had more random elements. Until Domination 2 only the Two Teams version existed and some members of my "clan" (I hate that word) wanted to have the same mission but only one team and not two teams fighting against each other for points.

And, it was actually me who informed placebo about it.

So, there's no other author for the mission (I even placed the first unit in an empty editor map ), even if one might exist in Mr. anzacsas reality.

Nevertheless, I hope we will see an update of VTE soon
