as i posted in this thread..about obj parent ID

viewtopic.php?t=21433

it appears each objective should have a parentID( directed to a higher priority or neighboring obj ), to form a obj network.

i dunno if the network help campaign progressing.. but, i do such edits in Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsung areas.

the noticable thing - or subtle change, i found blue defence looks more fluent and effective in kaohsung.. invasino force neutralized, easily.

the movement in Taichung area is slightly more active.. less retreating.

those in taipei is fair.. few more mechanized units moving.. tho many infantry units remain static.

PS- i've not added all obj parent ID yet..

Nice to see you guys got the campaign rolling, I'm happy to see theater work being done.

So if all goes well, will we include this campaign in the official PMC release in the future? If so, is this going to replace the existing campaign or just be provided as additional campaign?

Anyways, thanks for your effort, its great.

ccc wrote:IIRC the campaign is not rolling yet. just at primitive stage.
BUT very enjoyable to fly! there are still a lot of things to do, but it would be a good idea to pack it later into the PMC taiwan oneclickinstaller...

@ ccc: i've figured out, that i have added too much PRC ships in the taiwan Strait! i'll remove 1/3 of them..

other problem: ATC doesn't create Interdiction/CAS/BAI missions against the red forces ON taiwan isle. is it because they are on the "blue" land?

@ ccc: i've figured out, that i have added too much PRC ships in the taiwan Strait! i'll remove 1/3 of them..
well..you can find PRC warship list on FAS, Globalsecurity, or Sinodefence websites.. the total warship quantity is limited but - PRC tends to recruit thousands of civil tankers, cargos, and fishing boats for a massive amphibous landings. it's quite reasonable to find tens or hundereds of "innocent" PRC fishing boats gathering near the shore.
other problem: ATC doesn't create Interdiction/CAS/BAI missions against the red forces ON taiwan isle. is it because they are on the "blue" land?
in TacEdit, make sure your ac squadron is specialized for AG mission - check Squadron speciality page.
in F4browse, make sure the ac role score weighs more on CAS/BAI or strike. their flight or sqadron role score should be adjusted accordingly.
this knee map looks sweet - but i found the ocean at right hand side is labelled as Phillipine seae? isn't it Pacific ocean?

BTW- latest news show PRC has forward-deployed S300PMU2 to coastline facing taiwan. this one has over 200+km coverage and totally block the airspace over taiwan strait.

@ ccc:
i meant, i'll remove some grishas (with sams) and so on, beacause there are too many of them in my campaign, so the strait is nearly imposible to fly throu!
but i'll add some more cargo/tanker ships there. what do you think?
- would be great if you may can help me with the ground war again?
- what do you think about "google earth tiles" for that theater? at first just for Taiwan isle...
-what do you think about adding some of your amazing 3dmodels in that theater?

Cheers CCC!

@ Mapi,
Hi mann!

i think also that you are right, no edit is needed! good work again!

Cheers

@ Jules:

was the "war" over, i mean stopped the clock? what was the last message on "war info report map"? have you edited the priority sliders, or set by HQ? what blue airbases have been destroyed?

Cheers and thanks for testing! if you find more, please post it again!

wait till FF5 out.

honestly, after the latest president election, the political status changed..the gov leans toward China, no more strongly allied with US-Japan.. and hold the budget for more US weapons. many defesne projects are also cancelled. the situation changed..<sigh>.. all thanks to red china's successfuly infiltration in all aspect- political, economical, media, and everything. :?

the campaign mod may trun out to be an US invasion or Liberating Taiwan scenerio.

hmm, so US and Japan would not help in the worst case?
should i set US and JAPAN as neutral? i think that i should work on my mod as we have it planned and one new campaign without US/Jap strong, Alliance
yeah, i'll wait for ff5....

the tweak..you can choose to do..
1. break the obj link to moutain objs, force fleaing unit moving south.
2. rise the [move cost] value to moutain obj, like 255, make it hard or hesitate to move that way. sometimes ground units just stuck there.

choosed 1st option: broke the link form middle in the mountains to east coast front line:
result: the blue units stuck on the place wehre they are, NO movement to eastern frontline... sad.

:?
exactly the same as i observed.

so, at the end of that obj, i link it to southern obj, give the move cost lower value, to help them move south.

Say, after the RL political change here, the latest wargame simulation assumed Red side will only land at south/mid taiwan, no activities in northern taiwan.

nice pics!

few comments..

- i saw a RA5C in pic 8-) and U-2.. both are all retired.

- F-5E, it never uses dual rack for bombs here. overloading will severely downgrade it's performance.

err.. edit it as you wish..

the problem for placing troops in mid-south taiwan is, the road network is not completely open. got to check it first..i only confirm a small area near Kaohsung - Tainan is open.

The mid Taiwan with plain farm terrain, is best for massive ground maneuvor.. i don't know if all roads are open.

Welcome to my world. You cannot expect to get answers in a one day, you should in fact expect no feedback so if you get it, you'll be happy.

I've gotten months if not year(s) later some feedback on some of my projects. Be patient. If you expect feedback or answers in 24hrs, you need to change your hobby/modding.

Hi Derstef,
something I think you could fix  .

Image

Image

That is something I recently explained about Mirage 2000-5 loadout on GF forum for OF.

Actually Mirage 2000-5 can't carry any air-air ordonance on the internal hardpoints under wing, where you can put wing fuel tanks. Simply because there is no wiring for that any more, just wing fuel tanks.

Another thing which need to be fixed in OF, maybe it is the same with RV  , Mirage 2000-5 can carry Mica IR on the four fuselage hardpoints where at the moment we can carry only Mica EM.
That is an important capability tacticaly as Mica IR is also a BVR missile.

Finally, here again maybe you'll have to take a look in RV to see if there is the same mistake than with OF, Mirage 2000-5 can't fire Super 530. This weapon has to be removed from its capabilities.
