Greetings,

Nurse,
It sounds like you are wanting to make Tactical Engagements (TEs) for your LAN meet? Not sure what you mean by "...where the borders are filled in" unless you mean country borders and making separate teams for each country? You'll have to use the tactical engagement editor and edit the borders of the countries you want yourself manually. The "painter" function doesn't work correctly so you have to do it manually inside the TE editor using the "set owner" function (right click on the objective to bring up the menu).

Re: Templates for Iran
Yes, thanks. That cost a lot of time.
I found some template's for desertstorm 0.7. Somebody did a lot of work to make those.
I was hoping that somebody did the same for Iran.
Not that i am lazy, but, well, to do this within falconaf, time consuming.

Re: Templates for Iran
You can do the "painting" in Tacedit. Select as many objectives as you can in the specific country, then choose new owner/control and its done.
Sorry I don't have the step by step instruction here, you have to check wiki for changing owner/control.

Re: Templates for Iran
I use FalconAf: can not edit TE in tacedit.
I tried to find info on this subject, but there is not much info on FalconAf and Tacedit.

Re: Templates for Iran
Well, some more info. (I use FalconAF!)
If i use tacedit for editing campaings, no problem. Tacedit works fine.
But if i want to edit a .tac file. I get the error message: wrong version (?-something like that).
Can I make, from scratch, in tacedit a basic template, which i can use??
If i start up the Taceditor in FalconAf I cannot 'paint' the borders, that is a wellknown issue. Is there a way around this, so i can make a historical .tac missions??
I need this, but then for Iran:

Re: Templates for Iran
I just tested the te_new.tac from Iran theater, it opens fine. Unless there is some mix-up with the NSIS installer of ours or in your install process which would copy the F4AF te_new.tac overwriting Iran theater's one, I don't see a problem.Nurse wrote:But if i want to edit a .tac file. Not sure what you specifically mean but yes, that is what I've been saying all along. Can I make, from scratch, in tacedit a basic template, which i can use??
