I think we should cover a topic about other modeling tools than Oxygen 2, like 3DS Max for example. There is very little of "hard facts" about modeling as some people say dont worry O2 is enough while others say any real modeler does its job on 3DS Max etc.
Anyways, in our wiki I've already listed several modeling tools but we could start by listing them here and any new programs that we havent noticed.
There is for example Modo 301 which claims to be nice modeling program. Anyone know anything about it?
Blender and Milkshape seems to be free programs as well as Gmax. Anyone using these?

I've managed to 'convert' 2 of our modellers from max to modo... one had modo for awhile but hadn't really given it a chance... now he won't go back to max...
max of course is more feature rich and with a bigger user base, tutorial base etc.
modo (as far as i'm concerned) is a much easier and intuitive UI. it is no slouch when it comes to modelling - and i highly recommend it. i find it a beautiful piece of software to use, whereas max i find onerous/overwhelming and overly complicated for my needs. which are essentially modding related.
go modo ! plus, it's hip !
