Old Tacedit versions

Post by Snake Man » 2007-04-30 04:28:28

I just discovered that oldest Tacedit in my posessions is v2.46, hmm weird, but I guess I just deleted all older versions when new ones were released. I wanted to try backstepping versions to see where the occupation map painting were bugged. And also I'm having terrible problem in Europe import objectives feature/save, the index goes haywire and some of the object names are totally messed up.

So does anyone have any older versions of Tacedit than v2.46? If so please put them for me to download somewhere, or RAR up them and email to tactical at nekromantix and that damn com thing.

Thanks

Dono of old version... but i think the messed names are especially for names of objects that starts with a number... i saw it happen with Korean campaigns.

I checked the CSV file and there is no name strings with numbers at the beginning. There is 0 of course but thats for parent naming.

I'm still looking for those older versions of Tacedit, please.

Oh hey i_hawk, it was you who said about the numbers. You got more details about the numbers in beginning of objective names, did you test it yourself or see on someone elses campaign names?

I tested myself... on Korean campaigns i had to export/import with TacEdit and i noticed some objectives that started with numbers got messed up and TacEdit just assigned them new names... this was true for ArmyBases but not for HART sites for example... so i just fixed by hand from the original files... it might be that TacEDit just can't handle strings with mixed characters... i noticed the HART sites started with a number but the whole name was numbers like "108" so it was OK... but the Army bases had mixed names like "7 Army base" and this is where it got confused and just assigned some new name for it...

Let me test this and i'll return an answer...
