About hdr, bin and fmt reader!?!

Hi. I have some free time (vacations) and I thinked to start again a new Theater.
When, looking on info, i decided to download all the possible dem data to make a database of it.
In the instructions I've seen out to connet the dems but, it's very time consuming because i wat to make a dem map of the world (well maybe all the world).

I've looked for info on the net. Download some programs like "Microdem" and "global mapper". None can't read the files.

Wat program, comercial or not is capable of readyng the dem and connect them?

Any info will be apreciated.
