DEM_L2 Converter problem

Post by Gordo » 2001-01-12 02:36:00

Ok, I tested out the Converter by downloading the coordinates for Cuba to Miami and then ran the DEM_L2. The data file size was 1300x1300, so I would have a red box with a border. This is a link to the map it made. I don't think this is the Cuba I was looking for, lol. I noticed the DEM processing site has a (-) mark before the coordinates. I can't remember if I replaced the - before the long and lat data I entered. Do you think this would cause it.
Long 73-85
lat. 17-29
If its not the (-), does anyone have an idea.
Thanks,
G
I fixed the problem. It was the (-) in front of the lats that I messed up. DEM_L@ worked like a charm. As usual, it was the idot operating the equipment that caused the major malfunction. I gotta quit that. Image

It's quite obvious you downloaded the wrong data

Do it again with the map option
on that site

Look at the coordinates in the header of the file, the left_map_x should be somehwat like the East X degrees you specified. The rightmap_y should be erhm out of the top of my head .. be the South X degrees you specified.

as long as your using Dem_LF.exe
coordinates don't matter
just download the right data
and let the program do his work
(might wanna change *.hdr first line)
see other Dem2LF post
