how to resize cockpit?

Post by Hammer » 2003-01-31 22:17:00

Hi guys
I was trying to resize SP3 cockpit with no success :(, does anyone know how to make it?
Default one is 1024x768 and I would like to know how to make all other possible resolutions.

You have to resize the .dat file and the gfx. Its no small task. I made a program last year to resize the .dat file, and I think F4UT has another one. Mine is in java, you can grab it here: http://www.falconuk.co.uk/modules.php?n ... tit&lid=27

Hi Seifer
I have downloaded Java 2 Runtime Enviroment and I have 4 files in ckptart folder that can be converted. I have converted 10_ckpit.dat and 10_plock dat but I have error when converting 3dckpit.dat it says:ERROR: filename doesnt have "_". So I converted 10_ckpit.dat and 10_plock.dat and opened them in worpad, gone to Files and Save to save them. After that I started falcon, set resolution to 800x600 and I got message on the desktop: Error: 122 H:\F4SP2MainBranch\Falcon\Sim\Cockpit\cpmanager.cpp Apr 22 2002.
What should I do? Can you tell me step by step?

Oh man, sorry. The resizer only resizes 2d pits. 3d pits don´t need to be resized, as they resize themselves autopmatically according to the resolution.

The 2 files you need to resize are the 10_ckpit.dat and the 10_plock.dat.

Unfortunatly, my program does not resize the gfx(only 2d dat files), which is no small task.

I have a 800x600 pit working quite good tho. You can grab it here. http://www.vod.dcc.ufmg.br/~mribeiro/SP ... 00v1.1.zip

There are some minor bugs, but hey, it works =)
