Request to Aeyes

Post by Butcher_ss » 2002-09-20 15:05:00

Hello Aeyes. Hopefully you will read this because I don't know anyone else who can answer my request. I would be very, very satisfied if you build an F-15E model cockpit. I am not asking you for my sake but for my cousin and for all those who like the F-15. My cousin is obsessed with the F-15 like I am with the F-16 and would really appreciate this. I have seen your F-15A and F-15C cockpits and I am really impressed and that's why I am sure that if you decide to design the F-15E cockpit it will be perfect. I am not demanding anything but I am hoping that you will consider my suggestion. It will be a nice addition to the Falcon4 with the F-15C and F-15E cockpits if you decide to design the F-15E one. Hopefully you will consider it but if you don't for any reason I won't mind.
Keep up the good work!! :) :) :)

I might be wrong, but I believe the F-15E Strike Eagle is off limits as far as third-party development goes. This is due to FV involvement.

As a matter of fact I have been working on high res F-15E graphics for a while already.
If it is going to be a pit for Falcon 4.0 remains to be seen, but I haven't signed any agreement like F4UT.
That doesn't mean I am free to develop this plane, but on the other hand I really don't see how F-15 pitdevelopment would hurt sales for a sim to be released in 2004.
And that is planned to be released in 2004, experience tells it will in fact be 2005 or at the earliest Xmas 2004 imo.
Anyway, the ban on F-15 development is silly in my eyes. That doesn't mean I can't make high res excellent graphics for it ;)
The source material is there already, since I had a few hours in the pit.

Aeyes has done a lot for us.

What we need now is more artists, or ones willing to learn to build new pits. i mean MORE.

Frankly i dont believe we can have FREE non-F16 pits of Aeyes' quality in next few months. i dont expect any miracle will happen.

What do you mean is banned? Don't they allow you to build the F-15E cockpit? Is it classified or something?

G2i doesn't alow (serious) cockpitdevelopment for the F-15. They want to use the F-15 in Falcon V....

That goes for F4UT Organization.

You're not in F4UT.

Its a free world and you're free to do cockpit mods for Falcon 4.

Anyone can do these subjects, as freeware and not-being intergrated as part of UT's SPXX package.

You can find a flyable cockpit for both the F-15c and F-15e at www.falcon5.nl
It only consist of the 10_12 and 10_12_c views but will give you the feeling of flying a F-15 rather than a F-16 until Aeyes comes out with something better

I have found the cockpits and downloaded them but I have problems installing them both. Could this be because I have SP3 installed. You must also know that I have already added the Tornado cockpit which requires the same method of installation. I would really appreciate if you guided me to the installation because I have followed the ReadMe instructions but with no luck.
Thanks!! :) :)

Frederik, glad to see you working on new pits. if you dont mind, i'd like to send you some gfx files for more non-viper pits.

its hard to find artist willing to working on 1024x768 non-viper pits these days. Since i collected lots 2d material from MSFS/other sims, i hope they could be of some use...if you can provide .dat editing assitance.

Hello CCC
I would like to see the material you have collected. I myself have collected quite bit 2d material over the time, mainly from MSFS.
Please send me the material, then we can see if we can make something out of it.

Those Knudsen pits are really good. Thanks Frederik.
Any chance CCC, you or others will build "rough 3D pits" for those planes? It's weird having an immersive flight in a 2D Eagle pit, and switching in a 3D F-16 pit.

good job. F111 pit looks really nice.
IMHO FOV could be moved upward in front views. materail from FS mods tends to be flat-projection of panel layout, just lack a bit perspective.

Thanks for the link ccc. You are right, all of the cockpits are really great and my personal favourite is the F-15E. I just can't wait to find out whether Aeyes will eventually release one himself. It will certainly be great just like all his other cockpits.
