Merry Christmas from PMC TFW

Here is small present, a Korea 128 (Enhanced Korean Theater) theater to you developer guys. It works pretty nice even though its rough v0.1 BETA at the moment, the campaign dont have moving ground units but you should see interesting air war in the Korean peninsula including China!

Because of the early beta, we have decided to put out just zipped version, you must unzip it to falcon dir and do some small modificiations yourself, please be familiar with this before trying it out.

Install Instructions

1) Unzip Korea128.Theater.SP3.v0.1.BETA.zip into your falcon directory.
2) Add terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea128.tdf, line to theater.lst file.
3) Copy terrdata\korea\texture and weather dirs into terrdata\Korea128 dir.
4) Run SPTinstall.exe and browse to terrdata\Korea128 dir and click Create.

For uninstallation you must manually remove the dirs created.

Will this theater be developed in the future or did you just released it as a present for the holidays? I trust your judgement that this is a good theater. I hope that the theater will be developed completely, still we are all thankful. Cheers!

Of course but not by me alone thats for sure, we need more people to join the development.

That zip is very very good starting point for developers to work on the theater. Its basically fully working but needs lot and lot of fine tuning.

I haven't really managed to play the theater. I am still trying to understand how to install it (haven't had any experience on how to install theaters like this). If I manage to install it then I will be more than glad to help in the development of the theater!!

If you install the EKT Theater,,,In what way does the 2005 nuke the theaters ,,,or do you have to get rid of the 2005 , before installing the EKT theater

It overwrites theater.lst in falcon dir with file that has only korea + korea 2005 in it. So whatever theaters you had previously showing up on the "Theatre" menu in-game, theres only going to be original korea and korea 2005.

The other theater files itself arent touched so in reality the theater itself will not get damaged, you just don't see it in-game theater selector menu.

No because EKT does not overwrite anything, you personally need to edit the theater.lst file with notepad/wordpad etc editor and write the correct line:
terrdata\theaterdefinition\Korea128.tdf

HI all,
Ok, I just finished the install and when to see what it is like and got hit by a SA-2 in instant action and...CTD. So where do I sent the crashlod to? :?

Must i uninstall Sp3 now, then reinstall original f4 and 1.08 patch, then follow steps 1)to 3) then install Sp3 again? Sorry for asking, just want to make it clear

Can i still install and play other theathers after i install this korean theather except korea 2005 right?

No. You'll install this theater after you have fully working SP3 installation. I noticed that the readme/instructions doesn't say SP3... but yes all theaters are for SPx.

Korea 2005 OVERWRITES the theaters.lst file, if you install [insert theater name here] and then Korea 2005 the other theaters get nuked.

If you install Korea 2005 and then [insert theater name here] all is fine.

I notice the terrain is more hilly than the original korean terrain, niceee ;)

got ctd on second mission, half way through going home, after evading from those "Damn lots of MIG 29!!!attack Sam 10 and Sam 2 with Harm, ask my flight to attack Sam2 site, they went the other way towards home :p ahhh, preety sad. Here the crashlog,(hope this the correct way to put the crashlog)

v0.2 under way :o

Today I fixed the airbase CATE conf files, now all the 23_05 2 airbase types are layed correctly on dry farmland and in forest terrain types. I dont think Korea 128 EKT uses any other airbase types yet.

Just wanted to post heads up that new version is underway with small fixes and new installer (as seen on Taiwan theater). If anyone has any bugs to report or anything to add like research wise (Japan airbase types, Kadena AB, China? Russia? etc) then please post here immediately.

I have no ETA for the new version, but its real soon. Depends how long I want to fiddle with this baby again, usually I got stuck for hours using F4AF and Add Package ;)
