Airbase Project - Request for Images

Post by Washout » 2002-09-17 11:36:00

Hi Guys

Someof you may be aware that I am heading up an airbase upgrade project.

We have some reference material but could do with more. If anyone has links or pics of any Korean airbases can the post here?

Thanks

dont' miss it, VERY NICE modeling by F4Airbase team!

btw, i think new hanger could use one semi-transparent plate for shadow.

i knew that.

glad to see Pumpy's working on hangers. solid 3d buildings need LOD experts like him.

As for flat poly objects like runway/tarmac, its pretty easy for common 3ds max users, if a nice map and textures are provided. i urge 3ds max users join to help this part. if texture art could be supplied in short time, guess a flat base could be done in hours...note: i mean "textures created to fit new polys, not polys use default textures".

Hi Guys

Yes things are going alot faster than I thought they would and people are already starting to edit their taxiways etc.

This is why photos or data on the airbases are so important as without any real world reference we will be using our imaginations which will be better than the originals but will lack realism.

BTW - There are some airbases left to assign so if anyone is interested join up at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/F4Airbases

CYA there :)

i feel it looks like somekind of competition, F4SPX vs LOMAC? community team vs professionals. :D
