Caves in Afghan

Snakeman,

Back when I wanted to tackle the Afghanistan theater, but realized it was too complicated for my knowledge of theater making, I came up with a cool idea. Or so I thought..

For making those caves in Afghanistan, I wanted to take the typical underground factory objects, and insert those in Afghanistan with new models representing a cave entrance etc. I thought this would give a cool objective in the campaign that would be relevent to the theater.

I cant remember how the underground factories in database looks like, but maybe there will be some problems inserting such cave objects into the rough elevation terrain, I assume the caves are always on the sides of mountains.

We could look into it for sure.

Snakeman,

Hmmm good point.. if I am not mistaken I have not flown Korea in a while, but I believe the models for the underground factories was nothing more than a bunker type entrance, with two venting objects.

I figure maybe we could do something simply like some bunker type entrance and that would suffice for an objective kill. I have some photos of cave entrances I took recently and they are nothing more than a hole with clay bricks supporting the entrance.

I don't know about SP4.2 or FF3.1 but in AF there is a underground bunker 3D object. In the AF DB it is CT#588 (its under features), named "Bunker". This is what it looks like:

Wow, that is cool.. That would work pretty well actually.. I wonder if we can BORROW those objects?

If anybody has FF3.1 and/or SP4.2 installed then use LODEditor to try and find this object. It just might exist in those DBs as well.

Same CT:

That is an... um... non-standard FF3.1 model, though.

Pumpy reworked the bunkers - there's also a smaller one - CT 450.

Actually, it might be the old bunker with just a new skin. I can't really remember the lineage of it....

Hi everyone,
I have good news for you, you guys dont have to borrow this object. You can use it if you want because I made it some years ago and as usual I am verry glad to see my work in as many Falcon Mods as possible. If you prefer the original model with smoth shaded surrounding you can grab the model from the F4Le group (I know this place is out of fashion but it saved my models for 3 years :)): http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/F4LE ... ts/noname/

kind Regards

and Snakeman: Thanks for letting me in.
