When can we start tiling? ODS is about done, and almost done, im not sure about Vietnam, but after that can we? I find it simple, though time consuming.

Yeah almost :)

We still have basically half of the terrain untiled in ODS. But I'm going to arrange change for the autotiling before we get into that (to reduce the human workload).

I want to get the ODS done first, after that we can have as much fun with Afghanistan as possible :)

And by that time we have excessive knowledge of theater creation and fancy tiling tools available.

I'm running ReadL2 into the Afghanistan terrain and we can expect it to start looking much better than the first version.

There is still incredible amount of river and city tile fixing, as rivers are broken and such things but it does look good now.

Since autotiling makes great progress, it seems new tiles for theaters become a more important issue.. or things will looks alike. just my2c.

I'm putting together final package of features (roads/rivers/cities) for Afghanistan and so far it seems that Uzbekistan roads will CRASH the DEM2L2 converter.

I tried both versions, the one thats available for public (via email hoh) and the debug version sent privately to me. Both crash equally saving the features. Sigh.

I'll check tomorrow when I'm at work, but I had downloaded some a long time ago that worked (I think) when I plugged into DEM2L. Ooops, I just remembered, though that it was a 10x10 grid. Would that be the difference?

We can't use 10x10 degree TDF files on this theater (size).

Also I noticed that india rivers are missing and boy are those fun to convert. The e00 files is 27megs of size, geez my 450mhz 2nd machine has been running it now over 30minutes and it hasn't even begin to convert :)

Another disturbing feature pile will be china rivers and roads, which are also missing. e00 sizes are for rivers decent 47mb and for roads 13mb. Oh boy... will be another few days to run those (and most likely DEM2L2 will crash on saving).

Update for the rivers... no can do honey. I let it run for two days and it still was not finished when I had to reboot the computer :)

I'm confused about which TDFs are doing the crashing, roads or rivers?

What, if anything, can be done about it?

India river, turkmenistan road, china river and road.

Uzbekistan road missing and DEML2 crashes!
