hehe
yup you are right
Thomas Whealti is working on such kinda textures.

basically these are just patches to kill the time between now and when new tileset is realised.

I will help any group with anytilesets'
if they need technical support

but for now I just use repaletting technique
to get some quick results.

Not really "working" on it - just having fun with some tests :-)
But in the old thread mentioned above, the URL that is mentioned (http://www.flyandfight.com/EAW%20Downloads.htm) includes
quote:Fantastic Terrains by Paul Wilson, a.k.a. "Shatterer of Worlds"
As PW is a well-known Falcon contributor, he could very well re-use these tiles (I believe seeing some hires tile tests from him on frug in the "Things to come" thread).

oh i dont know PW created those tiles..great, nice, hope he made some Vnam tiles too :)

Be serious, a whole new tile set could be too ambitious, i dont think we can have all fresh tiles in short time so, better focus on featured area, replace some at a time, with mixed 512 or 256, then progressively replace all. sounds more reseaonable.
