Europe project status

Post by javanree » 2001-09-16 20:18:00

OK here's what's been going on this week

- Loads of data on unit placement for the area has been collected, and is now being formatted for use.
- DEM2L2 process is about complete
- Investigating what tiles we need
- UI screen in the making

More info on http://f4europe.vanree.net as always. And thanks to LoneWolf / Snake Man for the forum!

You're welcome, we are happy to provide you guys a forum here. Its not costing us anything, there is lot of HD space in our linux :)

About Europe Theater, if you send me the Airport and Label TDF files, those can be converted to .CSV file which can be imported to tacedit. If you're interested, email me to nospam

Hi javanree,

1. could you reduce graphic size on your site to speed up loading?

2. i think you can find some nice patches for USAFE units here:

CCC I intended to move most of the images to separate pages, but due to the trouble I've had with DEM2L2 that became something of a low(er) priority. Will put it high on the todo list :-)

Need to do stuff on the webpages anyway, loads of unit info that I didn't get around to adding...

Snake Man, thanks, will email you about this (still several issues, hats off to Miran who keeps fixing stuff the moment I discover it :( So if ANYBODY is willing and able to help with making tiles, let me know! Most of the other things are accounted for it seems.
