Thinking out loud.

OK - One thing that the Falcon engine, added to the Europe map, seems perfect for, would be a simulation of General Sir John Hackett's World War Three August 1985 scenario.

You know, Fulda Gap, tons of Soviet Tanks... All good.

Except:
1: There were no F-16CG or F-16CJ aircraft available in August 1985. There were 244 F-16C Block 25s available. We already have a cockpit for this - the original F4 108 1024x768 cockpit. We'd need to add some stuff to this, but its possible.

2: There are no F-16Blk 25s in the database - as far as I am aware. But I could be wrong. It is also likely that there are no F-16As in the database either. These would be neccesary to model NATO allied aircraft.

3: Teams. Looking at Snakeman's test campaign in the (very nice) Europe Beta, I would conclude that:

- the USSR will use the same team flag as the DPRK.
- the US will either be the US or NATO.
With Seven Teams, I would therefore suggest -

US
NATO (incl German and British assets)
France (which wasn't part of NATO back then)
USSR
Poland
WARPAK (I remember seeing this designation back in a 1984 issue of "War Machine" :))
Sweden

Having Poland as a seperate entity would be good for reflecting Poland withdrawl from the war in the book.

4: Weapons. The F-16 couldn't do smart bombs, back in 'dem days. The F-16C would be carting cluster bombs, snake-eyes and AIM-9ers, and would be primarily a day fighter. A good compromise would be to "say" that the F-16Cs were cleared for night vision goggles.
I am told that the F-16s carried the AGM-88 in the Gulf, and arguably they may have been carting such in the Germany of August 1985.

5: Other "stars" - the other stars of the show would be: F-15C (no Es yet), A-10, F-111s, Tornados, Jaguars, F-4E, and the Harrier. The other side would be packing the MiG-29, and a small number of Su-27s.

anyway...just my thought...

Well, SP3 has, among others:

F-16A blk 15 (that dayfighter config)
F-16AM (the MLU)
F-16 blk 30
F-16 blk 40
F-16 blk 50
F-16 blk 60
F-16I

Most of these are not yet fully implemented though.
