Re: Missing Airfields
Please add Bruggen to the list. I'm sure it was there in the early betas, as I had some Tornados based there. The last one (0.4)dosen't have it.

Re: Missing Airfields
Yes, one of the biggest RAF bases in Germany for a long time. Home of 31, 9 and I think 17 Tornado Sqns up to 2001
"A ceremony was held at RAF Bruggen on 15 June 2001, with British and German VIPs in attendance, to mark the formal departure of the Royal Air Force from its last permanent airbase in Germany, after a presence lasting 56 years. The German authorities marked the occasion by awarding military honours ("Fahnenbander") to the station and its squadrons.
The ceremony marked the departure of the two Tornado squadrons which have latterly been based at Bruggen, which are returning to the UK this summer. The last RAF personnel will vacate the station in October, but a new chapter of British military involvement will then open at Bruggen, as British Army units move in.
The withdrawal of the RAF squadrons is a consequence of the ending of the Cold War, which has allowed forces to be consolidated at bases in the UK."

Here's a map from 1986. I'm flying the 1985 Cold War campaigns and I can't find any of the RAF bases.

Re: Missing Airfields
Well, to make things clear, the list of airbases is based on the 2001 OOB. That is why some airbases are not there because they have been decommissioned since.
If we need to make a 80 scenario, then of course the airbase list needs to be redone.
So keep the faith and keep posting info about the airbases you want to see implemented
Cheers

Re: Missing Airfields
Hi Red Dog,
RAF Leuchars is still an operational airbase, hosting 43(f)squadron (The Fighting Cocks) and 111(f)squadron flying F3 Tornados currently but also F4 phantoms and Bac F6 Lightnings before that. Also hositng the universty air squadrons for Dundee and Abedeen and a helicopter squadron as well. The base was opened in 1918 by the navy and then transfered to the RAF in 1920 and is still a frontline RAF /Nato airbase today
RAF Leuchars is where to find more info
regards

Re: Missing Airfields
Leuchars is in my Airbase lists. So no problem there. Now, if Leuchars is not included in the Europe theater, that's only possible because I made an error on the airport ID lists.
Because, for me, it has to be supported.
Again, more work needs to be done on the Europe airbase list
Cheers

Re: Missing Airfields
Thanks, RD. Freeservers breaks the link after a day or so, to see the pic just right click and paste the properties in your browser (or just copy the pic to your pc).
Also, is it possible to add airbases in with Tacedit? I see Laarbruch is in the dropdown list of objects.
PS: Don't forget Lahr with that new CF18 coming.
