Campaign Videos

Does anyone know what file basically turns these videos on or off? I notice they have not been working in a while?? I have looked through almost every file, and I cannot find anything that would turn them off?

i think you missed some codec or dll file in window/system32 folder.

i can't remember its name.

go to falcon4/ movies folder, see if you can view those vids with window media player - if not, you missed the file.

Hi

If your using F4-AF then the codec K-lite pack is the most probable reason.

If so go to our site and read FAQ, it will tell you want one to disable to stock MS. that should fix problem.

21. I hear the Intro video music, but no movie shows. Sometimes I also can not get into the User Interface - the parachute icon shows, but I need to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to close the program. What is wrong?
You might have installed a 3rd party video codec packages. They can cause all possible issues and problems. For example, the K-Lite video codec package is known to cause problems with Falcon 4.0 Allied Force. If you have this installed, do the following:
Open Klite Codec pack > Configuration > Fddshow > Video decoder configuration and change the MP42 format entry to disabled by clicking on libavcodec.
As a result the standard MS codec will play the AVI movies and FDDshow is not used for this type. Falcon will run fine with movies then.

If your using another version, then I really don't know, as last resort you can rename all movies so they don't play.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the help. It was a codec dll file. I guess my upgrade turned them off, so I knocked it back and now all is well. Thanks!
