Theaters as torrent download?

I was thinking that would it work if we arranged a torrent download for the theaters. I mean basically our files are quite rare and special items, so that would be most suitable for normal download from ftp/http, as torrent is mostly that massive hundreds of people transferring method.

How many of you active theater (and other) guys are using torrents who could seed the files at least some time?

I can't seed because my dsl is so smal (256kb). So it wouldn't work for me. What about those guys I identified already who were willing to host up all of the theaters on their ftp and http sites?

I p2p with Shareaza, which can download torrents, but I dont' think it can seed them.

It is a good idea, though.

You mean that you can host/seed them through torrent?

Anyways, I realize that the torrent is not perfect solution for theaters since these downloads are so special that every now and then one or two guys might want to download them. Torrent's power comes from the MASSES, which we obviously are missing here in theater business.

But indeed if I manage to get my setup in order, I'll try to seed the basic theaters as torrents. But time will tell if thats suitable option or my computer works good enough.

So far you can rely to the fileplanet (or whatever) links provided in the how is falcon 4 today topic. Those work well with good transfer rates.
