Invisible Aircraft

Has anyone seen a problem where aircraft which are below the horizon sometimes disappear or rather go invisible? ie you will still be able to be padlocked or locked onto them - they're still there, but the 3D model has disappeared off screen or is invisible.

Any solution for this???? I'm using 108i2 based mods and RP4 mods, on glide using a Voodoo2 card. The problem has also occurred on my TNT2 under direct X. Using detonator 3 drivers and has happened under both DX7 and 8
any suggestions?
