I have prepared a little picture-series, of the completed MOAB model. What do you think about the texture? All of my reference pictures showed the orange-coloured prototype, so i had to guess.

MOAB test

heya Spike, test looks good.

however I thought the MOAB was designed to take out troops and units on the battlefield.
so I doubt that when dropped on an airfield structures like hardened shelters will be destroyed completely.

but I might be wrong as I am hardly to be considered a weapons specialist :)

nice shots Spike. i think olive green should look better.

BTW..that bomb looks very similar to SS-21. place it on SA-8 vehicle and we got a new toy.

Awesome! I've been hoping someone would complete more radars associated with SAMs. And if you want to get more complete, model the Clam Shell too. This is what it looks like..

Still trying to find good pictures.

The best reference pics, maybe get somebody take screenshots from Flanker2.5, with a reference vehicle to determine its dimension.

Yes, I'm still alive. Between work, mountain biking, kayaking, and paying off bills, I'm still alive albeit very busy. Paid off all my bills so all I have left is a house payment now. So I've splurged and been adding to my gun collection the past few months. Just bought me an Uzi & hope to have it shipped by next week :)

yea i'll see if i can find another one...But at least it would be better to have that there than the Barlock :F The Barlock is an EW/GCI/TA radar...it is associated with SA-5's, but in F4 it's the targeting radar...*barf*

wow.. its almost done!

this beauty shouldn't be wasted in modern theater/campaign - one BVRAAM and booom!

the best theater/campaign should be-
Korea, 1970-early 80.
Vietnam war, 60-70.
Indo-Pak war, 60-70(80?). - J-6 retired from PAF last year.
Mid-east 60-80.. IIRC farmer activities is rather low in this area?
US-china conflict around 70-80.

very nice Pumpy. want to add weapons? you mean adding new weapon-lod and skins?
or adding weapons to your farmer model?
didn't you already load AA1 on rack?

to add brand-new weapon, you got to create new weapon entry wiht F4browse, build new lod/skins and append to DB, edit its performance data, then edit farmer loadouts/and store to use it.

Hi Daws,

The flaps were a bit of a challenge as they initially didn't react the way they should have. A few hours later, things were looking better. ;) I get a kick out of watching them move in the sim.

Thanks to Mike Rivers and Fred Balding for the excellent tools to construct and visualize the models in progress. Mike's addition of being able to view the DOF's and Switches in the viewer saves an enormous amount of time.

Good luck with your new project.
