Simply awesome. I see, you have used my improved Flanker model for the upgrade. Pivoting slots are some of the harder things to model IMO, keep it up.
ya, its done.
After viewing a nice LOMAC vid clip, i decide to bring myself a sea flanker. at first i pick Rick's Su35/37, want limitedly add a folding wing. later i changed my mind, pick Ripper's.

features-
- reshaipe LERX, add DOFed canards.
- shorten tail boom.
- add tail hook/switch
- upgrade IRST with glassy round cover, more like the crystal ball.
- tail fails cut and folding DOF added.
- add static dischargers on tail flats
- maingwing, extensive cut/structuring, re-do all DOF for LEF/TEF/flaperon/wing folding.
- rebuild all landing gear polygons.
- remap some texture.

Sure there're some look-thru bugs left, no plan to perfect them. also the shadow is a big regret once you fold the wings.

I had started to merge Rippers Flanker model with Pookies Su-32, but never managed to complete the model.

Anyhow, here is the file, if anyone wants to work on this model. I won't be able to take care of this LOD in the next time. :)
Do you want me to remove the outdated model from my homepage?

the Su32 sample lod looks good- too bad i lost my 3ds file in last PC crash, a new-built su32 nose section.

the lod will need lots tweak to complete the modeling- the curve of nose section, new gear set, enlarged, extended dorsal fairing and tail boom.

Wow!! I thought I was looking at LOMAC.

Regarding the shadow. Can you add a DOF to the shadow that would "fold" the wingtips under the shadow?

I take it that rules out a switch as well?

yes

:)

AFAICT, the code does not support DOFs or SWITCHES in the shadows. It doesn't support DOFs due to the scaling code (when the ac rolls the shadow stretches). The a/c's DOF & Switch states are not set for the shadows.

Doesnt the F-14 shadow move along with its swing wings? If that shadow can do that... cant you adapt the shadow to the F-18 for wing folding?

no, the F-14's shadow stays with the wings opened up.
