3. inspired by Ripper's A10, the canopy is modified to be "golden glassy" appearance, closer to the real thing.
4. sure, thanx to Tom's tweak on FM and engine smoke..well, not sure if it got smoke trails.

While waiting a real A-6 model and Vnam theater update, i play around with all stuff i have, old premature 2d pit, premature f111 3d pit, vnam skins, and aforementioned tweaks, load some slick 82s and drop tanks..Go DOWNTOWN! :D

Awesome stuff..when can we expect the release of the 'fixed' EA-6B?

I've never seen an EA-6B actually smoke though. I can go over my slides again but AFAIK the Prowler engines are relatively smokeless.

Tazz, could you confirm the smoky trails on EA6B, EA6A, and all A6 models(including earlier vnam models)?

if they burn clean, got to tell Tom to remove the smoke.

I'll have to check some of my slides. I've only seen EA-6Bs in landing and take-off.. the only A-6E's I've ever seen ( a handful) were all stationary on flightlines etc.

It might smoke a tiny bit but I don't think you can have that in F4.. it's either full smoke or none.

If you look at the FAS site (www.fas.org) under EA-6B, you'll see that on NONE of the air to air photo's, you see any smoke.

:)

Talking about smoke.. The F-4G doesn't smoke anywhere near as bad as the F-4E. While the old F-4E really puts on some heavily smoketrails - the F-4G does not.

CCC,

Looking at the F-4 shots above - do you have a fix for the 'double pylon' problem in Sp2? Where SP2 placed the default pylon under the new 3D pylons?

CCC: what skyfix were you using for that Hornet shot? It looks pretty real (well, except for that lo-res hornet...)... but the haze blends right into the water, it's like a cold rainy day

I have found a superior MiG-15/17 pit to the one you show... But the F-111 Pit is very nice! When will it be distributed? Who made it? How about the A-6 pit you had mentioned? Do you have a pic of it?

Did you grab that Vark pit from an FS2002 jet? I'd grabbed one a month or so ago but the flight model was atrocious. Thing turned like a -16. One of these days I'm gonna sit down with Gmax and make me one of those. I'd meant to start one for F4...but I guess that's life.

Icebrain: Korean Skyfix. what you see if in "zoom in" external view. just press "L" key, early morning.

CAG: i know the mig15/17 pit art from commerical MSFS addon. my 2c, Phil's better.

Yes Jeff, i spent a while to download most jet pit from several MSFS free resources. the original pit art from Phil perrot(he's now working for Alpha sim, commericial addon), converted for fun months ago.
It is somewhat simplified, and the FOV need further tweak.
