Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
OK, how about a few middle ages Forts, for Middle Eastern theaters??? If you at TPC's, ONC's and VEC's you'll see stuff like that mentioned... For that matter, ANYTHING else you see on your typical TPC can be added too... Makes planning attack runs so much cooler when you have visual landmakes to plat the attack from...

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
ccc... OK will do some research sometime in the next day or two... problem is, most are quite unique, such as armageddon (Megiddo ?), and the variety of forts round bagdad... some are in the middle of the desert, some perched on ridgelines...
I'll see what i can come up with...

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Seems we have forgotten the Pilatus series of training and COIN planes. PC-7, PC-9 and PC-21. Guess PC 12 also should be included. http://www.pilatus-aircraft.com/3_train ... rcraft.htm
We also need the EMBRAER 145 with Erieye, http://www.embraer.com/english/
And some DASH models maybe ? Twin Otters are also used soime places for insertion of special forces.

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
CCC, I guess you know that the Pilatus series have hardpoints for rockets and bombs, and are the the "poor" nations tools for COIN operations and close air support.
Several nations even use them for "fighters". Last "US" plane shot down by a Pilatus, was the US missionair in south america. The Amazonas zone is watched by Embraer 145 with Erieye and Tucanos.
The pilatus type doubles as advanced non-jet trainer, and as "fighter". With your love for the A1, I guess you see the roles for the Pilatus type trainer/fighter/Observation plane.
The Embraer will be operated by Greece, Brasil and probably more.

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Do note that the sale of "Weapon capable" Pilatus aircraft such as the PC-9 requires special permission from the Swiss Goverment.
The South Korean Air Force wanted to buy the PC-9 including weapon-hardpoints for both Training and COIN tasks. However the sale was NOT permitted by the Swiss Goverment and so the Koreans bought a different aircraft. I'm not 100% which one that was, have to look it up.

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Sounds ok, CCC. Tazz, you are right about that export permit, but like all salesmen say: MAKE THE SALE
SO sell the planes, give away the drawings for wing reinforcements. AFM is supposed to have an article on this, Croatian PC-9's, next month (or was it this month ?)

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
RAF Tankers!
I know I'm not regular here but I read the Entity Expansion list and noticed that the only refuellers were the KA-3B and KA-6D, what about the RAF VC-10 and Tristar, these aircraft have been heavily relied on by the US Navy in ODS and more recently Afghanistan.
RAF refuellers, without them the US Navy wouldn't get anywhere
Regards
Dave

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Many of these are done or in the making. CCC has done a great job in providing me the raw 3DS files for many aircraft. When they are completed, they are uploaded to F4LE where someone (I hope) is integrating them into the database.quote:Originally posted by Tazz:

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Found this nice place at FAS with some good inventory lists a that time. Check aircraft Inventory. The numbers of Pucara's must be interesting to you CCC. Updated 1996, but still interesting.

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Couldn't find the link that was supposed to be in the previous post, from www.fas.org.
Something more to that database:
Seems the Boeing 767 are gaining support as new tanker for the US. Money allocated for testing. Think it should be included.
Also the EA-18E "Growler", seems to materialize. Check it out at boeing.com, Super Hornet program. The options for other solutions for fast carrier deployable jammer just aren't there. So this one will materialize, wheter the Air Force like it or not.....

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
There goes the Prowler. I tell you man, if I only see F-22s, F-35s and F-18s flying around in the US, I'm going to sell my camera's for good.
Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Tazz, you still have EF2ks and Rafales to take pics.

Re: SuperPAK Entity Database Expansion
Tazz, the prowler will soldier on for quite a while. The need for standoff jammers are huge.... Since we'll be meeeting at the 87th LAN, I guess, you can bring your cameras, and I will evaluate if it's something I really want.
