Hello guys. I have this question concerning the F-4G Wild Weasel. They say that the F-4G carries a specialised system for the AGM-88 HARM missile, the APR-47 if I remember correctly. I have seen pictures of the F-4G aeroplane and what I have noticed is that it has a longer undernose "thing". Does that have anything to do with the aeroplane picking radar targets, like the AN/ASQ-213 HTS pod the F-16CJ carries?? It seems like it has something to do with it since it seems that that is a pod which detects radar emission like the AN/ASQ-213 HTS pod the F-16CJ carries.

Re: A question about F-4G
It does... that fairing, which held the gun in the E model, was filled with radar-detection equipment. More antennae were scattered all over the aircraft.
