Theater progressing...

Post by Com_gp » 2001-10-01 09:31:00

Nevada is progressing, quite slow, but its progressing, im tiling it, i dont expect it to have it done for some time in the near future but... well, the most important part of nellis AFB and surrounding areas is tiled, spetially the colorado canyon, which took me a HARD time to tile.

And as always... well, a shoot of and F16 flying the Nevada Gunery Range north of nellis afb, i hope to put there gunery targets soon.

Well, i really dont need beta testers, many people have offered themselfs for doing that.

What i really need is tilers, for helping me to tile the theater, most important places are already tiled, but well, i have to tile some more segments.

Also object placement is needed, Snake122 placed mostly all airports and important objects, but still some more needed to be put in the theater.

And a bunch more of minor things yet to be done, lately this is going pretty down slow, just because im hell out of busy, in the real life ;)

Thanks for your offering,

send me an email so we can talk about this privately, I haven't heard from you in a while so I thought the project was off. don't normally come to this message board.

Hold, sorry guys, I would like to finish it up one of this "years" but my biggest problem is the lack of time.

From time to time I tile some segments in the theater (since most textures are done) but yet gotta start again the object placement because its mess up.

So all I can show you is some screen, if you want to check some not SP2 screenies check

You don't like the village util results? :)

How about creating basic installer for SP2 so anyone interested of helping at least in testing means can do so?

ya, create a beta for the community!

I dont think all theater development can progess like the few Snake Man in charge, so, some half-done theaters can be packed and released..we are not *obligated* to complete someting.

so, releasing betas in various stages should be ok. meanwhile recruiting interested guys to help, volunteers, and a real community-based adventure.

Well, most part of the range is tiled, just gotta tile a little bit more of Colorado Canyon and some segments at Edwards.

Well, I think they are cool but they are pretty much unreallistic, it places a bunch of factories in Las Vegas and things like that, besides that there is no problem.

Well, I think that would be cool, you could make the installer for it if you want, and then some people could test it, from then I could try to fix problems and keep tiling and doing stuff for the theater.

Ok, I have the old files here in my drive, more than enough to make installer. But can you send me some updated files, for example if you have tiled some more then I need the theater.L2 file etc.
