Incredible!! ComGP, that 3d pit...GREAT!!

and Aeyes' right on time to support this project! Image

my 2c about 3d pit here,
1.How about making that curve of canopy frame more smooth with more polys? Since the 3d pit including interior of pit, seat, some canopy frame and fuselage/wings..its poly count is relatively low. So, spend few more poly on that frame shouldnt harm. My previous idea is using a flat plain there, then use combination of rim texture/transparent color to create its smooth curve,

2. no 3d polys for IRST? and reserve a slot for retractable air-refuel probe? Image

3, i'll check fuel tanks ASAP. this project just make everybody excited!

Im on that one, right now the curve of canopy has almost more vertex than the rest of the plane...

Well, the IRST is there, but i think its too small, i should make it bigger.
And for the fuel plug,...., ill model it, just in case ;-)

Thanks, we need something different.

Thanks Aeyes, send me whatever you have to Com_GP@yahoo.com, please, do not make the zip bigger than 2 mb, if not the mail account will reject it.
Anyways, dont hurry, im leaving town today for a couple of days :-)

CCC: Check out the offical pics at:

www.eurofighter.com

in the photolibrary.
e.g.

http://www.imagepark.de/perl/efpublic/d ... 736&id=555

is a pic with fuel tanks.

Have a look at some of the high-res pics - excellent closeups for missile text etc.

well, i've checked those links before my post, ya, really hard to find good pic, right?

btw, that fuel tank shot is too rough..i guess those fuel tanks probably come from RAF Harrier? Jagaur? or Tornado? brand-new design?

Making progress, a pic showing to ingame shots and a rendered pic.

I need somebody to tell me how to change the mfd's positions, i know its posible because the mig29 mod did it.

About the fuel plug and the IRSC ball, ive deleted them, i didnt like the result.

GREAT!!

just my 2c, the canopy rim could use few more polys to round out its curve, i mean the sides.

Aeyes could help locating mfd, just wait a moment Image

OK, check this out ppl... Over at frugals, there is a thread about HMS (Helmet mounted sight) for off boresight AIM-9X (and i guess AIM-132(ASRAAM) as well) shots...

It seems it is all possible...

http://forums.frugalsworld.com/ubb/ubbh ... 03961.html

Apparently, telling F4 somewhere in a datafile that that particular a/c has a HMS system, allows you to use it straight away...

I dunno, may well be very worth looking into!!!

ya, the radome shape.
In early drawings, it looks sharper than current model. Besides, if model use less poly, it wont show the right curve of radome. we need a closer look to check that.

Well, model looktrus almost solved, just have some strange stuff that i cant solve in the air intakes, anyways, im gonna start to copy/paste stuff from other airplanes such of the wheels, the ejection seat and maybe the burners...

Image

And about the radome..., well, i modeled it from the Da5 line drawings, im gonna take some lateral and top pics to show you how is it.
