lo,
Right ive downloaded the ods file and i want to put it into the game.
Im a complete novice when it comes to this so any help here would be appreciated!
So far ive got f4 complete install on, i.08 us patch and the e falcon 110 patch applied.
reading the info it asks on install for expanded f4patch stuff-eep!
This is what ive done
the installer finds my f4 location
then it asks for the f4patch location which it says is in c:\microprose\falcon4\f4patch

and thats it-just asks me again.
im doing something wrong so could any body do a walkthrough for me at all-expanding f4patch and all that?

You dont mention F4Patch_Standard_41 installed and expanded over eFalcon. (eFalcon1.10 installer creates a Patch file but that is not expanded). If you did unzip F4Patch_standard to your Falcon4 dir, run it (answer yes to first prompt, no when asked to replace and checked merge instead) then I have no idea what causes the problem. Download F4Patch_standard_41.zip at:

done all that-still no joy.
Im going to sit and stare at my pc in the hope it fixes itself now hehe.
so to reiterate
falcon4 in, 1.08us in, f4patch standard in and expanded as stated-go to the ods installer and it just doesnt find it.
Im giving it one more shot then its out the window.

Another (silly) question. In Win Explorer, if you click on F4Patch in Falcon4, does it expand and give all the patches applied under F4Patch_standard? (And not just Persist?). It is possible that F4Patch_Standard created the F4Patch in another directory, if you unzipped the F4Patch_Standard.zip arcive to a temp file and from there copied the F4Patch.exe to Falcon4. (Then it will have created the new F4Patch.exe in that temp folder and you'll have to point the ODS installer to that temp folder).
Bloke, excuse me if I'm going into real basics: this stuff was what happened to me as a newbie (I still am one).
