Snake man,

As far as i noticed there are no missions being generated for 612nd (F-16) squadron at Incirlik airbase. Watched from 04.00 hours til 10.00 hours. The F111 squadrons fly all the time.

Instaled ODS on Saturday. I gotta tell ya this looks real good. Two observations to report:
1) when selecting "Black Phoenix", it's not available. Any reason for this?
2) in IA Moving Mud, the screen froze in Satellite View after dropping CBU 52's. I tried watching other weapons in SV; but, this only occurs with the CBU 52's. Ditto on this one. :?

Some squadrons don't get much missions (i.e. A10) so there could be the imagination they get none at all. But even A10 get some flights like airstrikes on Bases but the time between the flights can be 6 hours or more.

Snake, gotta admit that I think that there were a lot more than one squadron of F-16's deployed at the begging of ODS.

I have got an excel list of US aircraft by location and date -

In total though by the start of ODS there were a lot more than 1 squadron of F-16's, and they were not based where they are in ODS campaign

with this we can tweak the a/c quantities in each Sq! (i.e. there's only 8 tomcats in current ods f14 sq, 20 ships is standard deployment)

as for f16, i think SM's placing C models. IIRC he also place some A models in ods?

Yeah - I think that I have a breakdown of the actual block type deployments (for the 16's) somewhere at home, but I cant remember exactly where or in which book it is in.

Vipers in the storm had some info the F16 based squadrons during ODS. Remember the one that was right out the back where we we lived then. :mad:

Two things here. 1) Is there still a problem sith ODS and Windows ME? I remember the last time i tried to load up ODS i got nothing but grief. 2) If it has been fixed where can i get a fixed copy of it from.

Cyclic: As far as I know someone posted a while ago that ODS works 100% with ME. Mail snakeman for the URL.

EA-6B: Where do you get the co-ordinates from? Do you use TacEdit for that?

Anyone: How do I run F4 so that I get an FPS window in the top left hand corner like I have seen in some screenshots?

CCC: I realise that modelling an aircraft carrier must be a huge task (and difficult)but I have noticed a couple of odd things about the carriers in F4. In the orbital view, the a/c dissapears into the carrier. From what I know about carriers, the models in F4 are a lot smaller than an actual carrier. Can we look forward to full carrier air wings (70 a/c) or should we leave that to Superhornet?

Snakeman: I don't know what it is about my version of the ODS but I haven't experienced one CTD in over 30 flights?!

Happens every time...

I have a deep strike mission, I place the cursor over the target waypoint, do a Recon, close the target list window, select the waypoints display and when the assign button is up for the target waypoint, I hit assign and CTD.

Also, what happened to the show threat circles option?

AFAIK, the carrier deck is modeled correctly, about 1000+ft in length. a/c dimension is correct too. you must familiarized yourself with that sense of speed. :D

as for full carrier wing, we can tweak Sq record to get there.

Have flown 2 deep escort missions (F15) with a strike package of Tornados and a strike package of F111's. Both packages made it to their objectives. Neither package delivered its payload to targets although they arrived at target area without hinderance. Both strike packages were carrying external fuel only.

Also, the phantom Mirages at Saddam need to have the 3d models installed. I know that they have not been modeled yet in SP3 and this is the hold up but when all you have is heaters and there is no IR signature to lock on to it is difficult to do anything but bug out.

I also beleive that this is a Falcon4 issue and not ODS. Why is it that when the lead in the strike package is shot up/down, the entire strike package aborts whereas if the number 2, 3, or 4 is shot up/down, the strike package continues to objective? IIRC, IRL, if the lead in the strike package is out of action then number 2 moves to number one and the package continues to objective. Is this fixable or does this require a "code" change that is now forbidden?

AI must have calculated fuel requirement/drag parameter for missions, it seems unable to arrange refueling automatically to offload fuel tanks for WEAPONS! can it?

Howdy All,

Ok i got ODS installed on ME with no problems what so ever. Started running some tests and found the following which i am sure someone will shed light on for me.

1) The TE builder seems to have problems when you try to assign territory to the various sides. All i got was a staggered mess blurring accross the map when i tried to change it. Can anyone say what state the TE mission builder is in?

2) When in the campaigne, either one of them, I notice that no flights appear except awacs, is this due to the real time senario of the gulf war where the first attack squadrons did not leave until about 0300hrs on the first day.

3) If i try to speed up the clock to 32x everything starts to lock up as if all my memory has been used up???

4) Is the tiling work finished or is as far as its going to done. I noticed when taking off from Bahrain there is nothing on the island and their is no cause way from Bahrain to Saudi which in RL exists because i drive accross it once a month.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

no, IIRC flights start scheduling around 0100-0200 in our ODS.

So does anyone of the internal beta testers have any reason why not package v0.3 beta preview #22 and release it to the public?

I am flying SP3 on XP Pro and using a Courgar joystick file and have had no trouble with any. I get total lock-up in the planning stage menu screen. Music stops, I mean everything locks. Suggestion? I am very excited to try this work of art...it looks beautiful. Sory for the double post.

I don't think that the Tornado made it into this release. Anybody correct me if I am wrong, but I haven't seen then in any of the airbases I visited.

In preview 22 I flew a SEAD escort mission for a flight of Tornados that struck a Kuwaiti airbase... I think it was Al Jaber, but not sure. And IIRC, the Tornados flew out of Bahrain.

you may use Ktel's enable tornado flyable f4patch, cheek posts in this thread. use at your own risk though.

Experienced first CTD so far in ODS Campaign. (release v0.3)
Switched to enemy external view to check hit and it CTD.
Snakeman - Crashlog is on the way ;)
