New F-4 Phantom II skins

I've made skins before and I'd like to take a crack and doing some for F4. I'm just not sure how to install them into the sim. Any help would be appreciated.

I am sure that nice shot comes from Jane's USAF, really nice.

say, you need the tool, SkinEditor2, to extract texture files, edit them, then insert back into f4.

CCC, this is a skin that I found out there somewhere...I just added a few things to it, but man it is the best F-4 skin I've seen. If you want, I'll send it to you but I don't know how to do the F4Patch format.

Thanks Yes it is from USAF Btw, is there a work around so the graphics aren't mirrored over on the opposite side of the Phantom. I really doubt it but thought I'd ask

It bugs me that usaf looks so good, but then it chokes big time on ground objects. The objects are way to big-scale wise. Oh well, nice lookin aircraft,but a nam sim,it just wasn't meant to be. I like what we've done here, and I'm looking forward to TK's sim.

btw, any wonderful Vnam TEs for us? or you wait till vnam-era wpns mod available?

dont worry about the mirroring. good news from 3d hackers said, they can add a new texture of the wing, though only one piece. we can expect to wrap the whole shape, probably a new shape, with 2 or more 256x256 skins. dont worry, just practice your skill on current textures, we'll have to produce brand new ones soon.

Excellent! So they are working on a refined 3d model that will be completely texture wrapped? I sure hope so. My forte is graphics although the 3d models sound very intriguing.

just to remind you, that nice f4 SEA skin is created by Renner.

No it's not...look again...that's why I posted it..it is better...and I don't know who did it. The skin by Renner has numbers on it that look backwards on the other side of the tail...that ain't cool.
