I know someone is working on 3D modeling for F4, so far...no luck. I've also seen requests for the F105. I don't know why I didn't think of the F8.....I should have, that's for sure! I'll add my vote to your request!!

We will add all historical planes to Vietnam Theater.
Its only matter of getting them imported, dunno when this will be possible.

Dragon can do these shapes, if he want.

I have been following this Mac 3d model discussion for some time now, but since you directly mentioned it... can you please explain what would it require him/us to do if we wanted to get full F8 or similiar Vietnam era plane into the sim?quote:Originally posted by ccc:

Re: Will F8 be added to Vietnam Camp?
ya. since i closely monitor any progress in this field in past months, I conclude Dragon's tool is the best solution at this moment. After some talks, I realize Dragon can offer more goodies than i expect(though in Mac format)!!
To get more Vnam toys:
1.Dragon can do more shapes/LODs for us in short time(if he want or we express our sincere request). trust him, he's very familiar with LOD structure and lots f4 files. btw his LODeditor works on Mac only--> so we need him, or more Mac modelers.
2.we got to convert these LOD files for PC version. though it seems no big difference between Mac and PC format, we need experienced guys to do this. Ripper is the MAN(if he want, i know he's very very busy on his own projects). sure, if we have a PC LODeditor, I'd like to do shapes and textures myself.
3.we need edit related files like FM, loadout, etc, and establish its internal links. As you know, f4terrain group keeps discussing how or what to add (or not to add), or if they should be included in RPs, and so on. need some experts to fill these slots.
4. one more, remember RPG's announcement? AFAIK they tends to focus on modern korea war, wont support other era theater at this momement? Also they wont support or include new vehicles in prototype or limited info in their RP, got it? In this case, you got to recruit some guys for #3, even #1 and 2 solved.
5. thats all.
