I have FFperu_4.21.exe - 307mb, 12-08-05 dated, here on my hdd, it was quite some time when Ranger822 recommended me to download it (cant remember precisely "why"), so I did and it was sitting in my Theaters_Others/ directory ever since.

Yeah okay but anyways I assume this would need to be uploaded so you can get it?

Is it urgent or just enough to know its available when needed?

I could put it up for you as private download because dunno if there is any public free download sites for 300+ mb files? these sendspace etc places which I can operate don't support that big, right?

I revivewed the thread in my first post..well i've to say Twister did work hard on tiles/terrain job.. the mod was built around 2005-06..that's 3-4 year old. :o

for the record, i list my vague impressions from old memory here..

- IIRC the peru installer was built for FF3. To make it usable for all falcon versions, extracting and re-packing files is inevitable.
- the terrain looks good..Twister made many cool tiles. Around those days i worked on peru-related lods and just flew TEs for sightseeing.. most flat land looks a bit repetetive, but city or feature tiles are sweet. ocean and coastline brought dazzling latin-america atmosphere.
- i did not find or check campaign.. i don't know if obj-linked and road system checked. i can not remember there's a campaign.

that's it.

BTW.. i noticed countries in this region start another round of arm race these years..and Brazil just annouced Rafale as the winner of F-X project! :o Geeez.. Venezula already got flankers and rumored to buy some J-10.

Brazil just annouced Rafale as the winner of F-X project!
Rafale F3 : $130 million per plane + extensive tech transfer
Super Hornet : $90 million per plane, weapons and support + will buy some parts from Brazilian suppliers.
Gripen NG : $60 million per plane. Will build half of NGs in Brazil.

Rafale F3 is favored over Super Hornet because of the promise of an extensive tech transfer.

hmm... it looks that to learn something is the most important for Brazil

Hehe I put into google "FFperu_4.21" and the only hit is this topic :o

Anyways. My file is on dvdr backups, so its not available right now. Just let me know if I need to upload it. I was thinking that I could split the exe on several rar's and upload those smaller rars into multiupload.com then.

Just give me the word if its required, if not, it will stay on my dvdr's.

The further we get away from FF3 for Peru - the more difficult it becomes to adapt - - lots of hours to get a decent UI built now, more for the DB and getting campaings running. I may adopt Twister's tiles for Argentina -- he did some pretty nice work there along coasts, also some decent desert tiles for Atacama Desert and cities as CCC has mentioned. Otherwise , theater is pretty broken. It would take a huge amount of work to get it up and running - perhaps a project much like ITO2.
