Which version(s) of Falcon will this theater work with?

The only reason is that I don't know the differences and or extra needs for the theater to work in FF. I don't have a FF install on my machine. I can install it and give it a direct try to see what happens.

If you are aware of any differences please let me know. Of course I want it to work for FF and so, FF community can enjoy it too.

I have to add that, Open Falcon is far from dead. The community is still developing almost every aspect (data) of the simulation, including new sound sets, cockpits, aircraft, theaters etc.

Hey, I already tried to install this theater "as is" on RV installation... but it killed my installation totally... so don't bother trying (I didn't expected it to really "work" but thought to just see the beautiful terrain... but sim couldn't load at all :))

Anyway, since this theater comes with it's own skins for many models, this also must be solved (but it's not a stopper, as in worst case the Korean DB can be used).

In case anyone wants to convert this theater (with permission, of course) to RV, this are the main points to look at:

3D DB - models and skins, need to match RV.

Campaigns - Dono if the campaigns are RV compatible...

Terrain - Not really a problem... what works on OF should work on RV as well.

Data - Along with 3D models changes (if any), the data should be updated.

I don't expect anyone to get even close to a conversion of ITO2 done by Ranger822, but even a "dirty" conversion to RV will need some effort.

Derstef?

Phoenix, cheers on your great work man! Image

hmm, would be interesting but i have not the experience to do all the work, there are areas in theater building/converting which are totaly new for me...

i can help you with building a campaign, some skins and f4browse edits (weapon loads,.... )

BUT, c'mon, would be very cool to have this baby in FF/RV! so if we get permission, we really should get it ready, together.

cheers

Some Info that might be useful:

1. We are using the Korean DB already (copying it at start of install). But this will change.
2. Terrain is even better now. Generic farm (road, river etc) and hill tiles reworked and now they are almost photorealistic too.
3. No campaign yet :( Still collecting RL info.
4. If I'm pleased with the theaters status, then I'll be happy to do the convertion myself. But, first of all I want to feel that the work is finished.
5. Skins are changed but not models (for now).

Cheers
