RedViper Database for theaters

I'm no DB expert but i know the DB to some degree. if you look at HPs in F4Browse in RV DB, you'll find F-18ODS HPs and 1 F-4NAM HP which i assume reference to some special loadouts... but that's not the case in general. most HPs don't have such dual "theater brother".Snake Man wrote: So is it safe to say by now that nobody of you know the RV db loadout specs if they are historical or not?
If you need i already have such HPs manually saved for ODS and Europe. also saved the WLD file...thought that's what you were looking for...

if possible, split vnam campaigns into early, mid, and late stages, use ac of different timeframes. such as..
early stage use F100D, F102A, F105, A4, F8, A7. mig17
mid stage use F-4C/D, F-4B/C , RF101C, F105D/G, A7, A6, mig17/19/21F-13
Late stage use F-4E, F-4J, F111 A7, A6. RA5C, RF-4C, mig17/19/21F-13/PF/PFM

PS - F-4N joined the vnam war in late stage. so it can be added in late stage campaign, fly along with F-4J.
mig-19, may add to mid and late stage campaign.
mig-21, in early stage use F/PF, then move to PFM/MF is late stage.

@SM - i've read you post in OF database support thread..
an idea comes to me.. in this RV objects folder,
C:\MicroProse\Falcon4\terrdata\objects
it contains all data files - about 138mb. model and textuxre related files stand for 134 mb.
so- you probably don't have to duplicate a full copy of objects folder for new theaters. you just need THE 4mb data files swapping in and out. if you need theater-specifc texture, then add tens mb of texture related files for swapping.

Comparing RV database to SP4.2 which I use as base in my Tacedit, I found out at least the following (this is just a quick play around in Europe theater).
The class ID values are from SP4.2 db, I dont know if these aircrafts are located under some other IDs in RV etc. But at least we cannot have one compatible campaign with these values. Uhm dunno if I make any sense heh.
not working in RV:
U2, O1, FB111.
not existing but no CTD in RV:
SU22, SU32.
Ultimately we need to have the compatibility between RV - OF - AF, but I always assume all these databases are grown from SP4.2 so in all sense the existing stuff should not have been removed.

A few things:
There is an F-18C "ODS" version, but you have to open the vehicle record and look at the hardpoints to see it. The ODS hardpoints you mentioned are listed under it.
Also, with the F-14/Phoenix stuff: First, I wouldn't remove it from the loadout for ODS, just set squadron stores to zero. They were not allowed to carry it because of ROE limitations. Also, I've read several sources that say F-14's only flew fleet defense, and did not operate over Iraq itself because they lacked the necessary IFF equipment.
I don't think Iraq operated the R-27/AA-10.
Only the F-14A and A+ (later redesignated B) were active in ODS, and only in the A/A role.
Also I think the Marines operated the AV-8B by that point.
