Hi Twister, are you the man behind the "Angolian theater"? Is that Ivory Coast on the map?
I work on the Cuban theater for FreeFalcon and maybe I can help you with the Cate config files.
Feel free to PM me on the FreeFalcon board if you like.
Good luck! Sincerely,
Benny

fhunk!! :( . terrain is way to bad :( .
the problem here is that the max altitud of it is about 21 000 feet (the andes line of mountains) .. well . thinking about it , i don't think this is appropiate for falcon 4 .. i knew that ever since the moment i was doing it , ok , prob here is ,, imagine you're flying at about 25 000 feet , well ., you could be about 3 000 feet above the ground, plus some parts are not made for tiles , they are extended really bad! ,
well how to explain ,
i don't think falcon 4 is compatible with this kins of terrain , the mountains are just way to high .. !! ok how about a pic ?
BRB ,, :P

Oh almost forgot , countries involved are , bolivia , chile and peru .. mainly i try to create a second war between chile and bolivia , as i know , there was a war 'cause bolivia wanted to get some kind of access to the sea , Peru has some good aerial power , and so does Chile , the fact that this countries still "hate" each other (and plus being the moderator of a forum in chile :D ) made me think about create this terrain , but it does sucks ,, ok coming back with those pics ;)

Ok , i need help really bad ,
since all is done , even the j stars map , all is left is the country flags , wich i'm going to change right now ..

fisrt of all , objetcs are missplaced , they are pocisioned way far to the right , as you can see here

:( .

:(

Maybe if i could , somehow , make the terrain altitud somelike the korean , changing the height factor for some as the korean terrain , that could be quite helpfull , don't know if dem2terrain would dop that , does anyone know?

Twister, i can't see the images.
Cate can modify terrain altitude, check the readme. This may help you.

Twister,

First, not at all, friend.

I believe that your problem can be related to the lodfixer:

I will copy the instructions in Spanish, sorry:

9. CONVERTIR DE 2 BITS A 4 BITS (con LODFixer)

9.1 Preparativos

..........................
[Iceland]
SW Long=45.0
SW Lat=23.0
NE Long=55.0
NE Lat=33.0
X Map Extent=2048
Y Map Extent=2048
X Sections=128
Y Sections=128
X Tiles=16
Y Tiles=16

- Selecciona “Action -> convert 2-byte offsets to 4-byte offsets”

Atentamente,

Cordialmente,

Yup .. i did that too , i follow the intructions of your manual just as you wrote them ;) , it is the big "hot to do terrains for dummies" .. he he , ok , it is working now , problem was ,, that i used the wrong size ,, i notice it when i click on "bullseye" option then i noticed it was way big for the size of the theater , so well , i updated it , and what i got it was a big big, map , with all the thing in it , thanks to all of you , and yes , something that i also had to do in the file for lodfixer was this :

[Location]
Theaters=6
1=Balkans
2=Korea
3=Middle East
4=Desert Storm
5=Iceland
6=Chile
LastTheater=6

and then , ..add the other list at the end of it ,.

[Chile]
SW Long=-78.8633
SW Lat=-29.5063
NE Long=-58.9034
NE Lat=-11.0937
X Map Extent=2048
Y Map Extent=2048
X Sections=128
Y Sections=128
X Tiles=16
Y Tiles =16

As you can see , i added the last thing , but i was confused as i couldn't see it in the "theater" option, well ., after i added the first line , i was able to see it , ;)

so , that is one thing , but i can't generate the bridges ,

;)

Does thisnot make you laugh your ass? it does to me! .. LOL LOL LOL!!!! but i found many answer to many questions ,

Fisrt of all , i cannot use the dem2l2 v1.9 ,, i had to use v1.7 , and works fine to me , the problem is that v1.9 does not create bridges , cities , basically it'll only give you roads and rivers , not even the airbases he he, probably my WinME..

Ok , now i got them all , and i'm ready to recreate all , luckly i save all latitud and longitud parameters , so i can built it just the way i want it , you'll soon enjoy this piece of .. earth .. :P ,, thanks all!

and yes! joe .. you know you have been the greatest asset of all .. you practically tell me what button use , almost told me: "move the right had" . .. LOL , c ya all

i enjoy my spanish ;) , . "adios"
