Well, well I've got a similar problem (depends on your F4Patch version maybe).

I THINK the reason why NONE of the
Theatres works with F4Patch 4.1 Final5
is that the patch doesn't expand into
the ...Falcon4\F4Patch\ directory.
The expanded data seems to be needed
by the Installers of the Theatres.
I downloaded 4 Theatres and everytime
I failed to tell the 'WISE' Installer
the CORRECT F4Patch dir!
The Installer of the BalkanTheatre(1.0)
seems to be the WISEST. It tells me to
abort and install the F4Patch_Standard Package (that I don't own).
I hope that I applied all necessary patches
in the right sequence...
-> therefore check out the helpfile: http://www.bierling.net/joel/pages/falc ... readme.htm (it's for F4Patch 4.0 :)

The only certified SP compliant theater ATM is Korea... U'll have to wait til SP2 is finalised and the theater developers tinker with the theater before you get full compatibility...

Ok, It finally works. I have now EXPANDED the patch in the right dir and Balkans Theater Installation also worked. Only one problem left: When I end a mission falcon4 crashes.
Anyway I started to do your tiling tutorial and I found some nice patterns for South-Eastern of Austria. However it came into my mind to create my own tiles. Maybe you know a link!

Just to give you guys an update, I have now added few theaters into my SP2a beta version including the following:

Afghanistan
F4ME
Desert Storm
Vietnam
Vietnam 128

Afghanistan is 128 theater, not much done yet - just basic terrain + simple campaign.

F4ME is the T-Bone's Middle East featuring Iran war. Uses the same tiling as ODS, it works so far very nicely.

Desert Storm is 128 theater with upgraded data from the eF/RP5 ODS version.

Vietnam is the default data set from the latest installer for eF/RP5.

Vietnam 128 is just what it says... 128 theater and currently with testing purposes only. It uses new tiling (CATE etc) and just raw objectives from village util. A real testbed for possible Nam 128 upgrade.

Snakeman,
I'll have to get you a box of cigars or something when you get the Nam 128 finished. If you need any help(targets info ect..), you have my email. BTW, I finished with a Nam background doc if you need one.

I have been thinking that a lot. With the latest CATE advances and such, we could cheat and only use the already tiled vietnam non spherical terrain, slam it to the middle of 128 nam terrain and be happy with it. Or we could take new spherical data and ditch the old tiling all together.

Yet there has been so much work done by me and other people that I'm not happy to start ditching that, so if we are planning on 128 nam version, it would be non spherical. But it feels rather retarded to do such old technology type of terrain these days.

Nothing is good ;)
