Why BTR-50 is unchanged? The new model is in one of pbo's. And problem with objects - I think they start missing from helopad. Last working object (in config.cpp) is US Command Post maybe it's too many objects?

--UPDATE-- 6.10.2005

Voila! I fixed problem wih objects http://rapidshare.de/files/5948418/config_fix.rar.html - this is config fix - use this config.cpp instead config in vte_objects in patch #1

i posted the news of the patch on moddb.com.

http://mods.moddb.com/5240

a comment by someone on moddb.com:

"Great beta! Nice to see the Australians in it, and even an Australian AO island! I´ve been trying to re-make the "Battle at Long Tan".

Just a few notes:
The SLR was a single shot weapon, though it could be modified to fire full auto - officers didnt approve of this though. The L2A1 on the other hand was full auto, with a 30 rd mag. It had a heavier barrel and a bipod. The SAS cut down the barrel of the L2A1 and used it as a pointman weapon. Also, the XM148 (grenade launcher) could be attached to the SLR and L2A1.

The Australian soldiers hands are the standard OFP "dirty" ones, and the arms are clean that you have on the model, it looks a bit funny. Also, all Australians were required to have their sleves rolled down on patrol.

Other than that, great mod, i know its a beta, just wanted to point those out. Good luck and im looking forward to the full release! "
I uploaded the PMC Fury Radio voices, missions 1-53! get it here: http://www.freewebs.com/joekidds/pmcfuryradio1-11.rar (11mb)

Question for anyone to answer...

I hopped into a UH-1H to fly around as part of a squad. In chase view, the engine is quite loud when turned up, but when I switch to first person, it is almost as if there is no sound at all (while flying). Is this supposed to be like this or is this something worth looking into? Then the Huey lands, we all jump off and the sound kicks on/in again. Kind of like the volume was turned down so squad members could talk?

Any thoughts?

Mirror 1; here - Thanks to Raptor.

We continue to fix and tweak stuff, this patch #2 was small one and we'll most likely aim for next patch/upgrade/release to be larger in size with more changes/edits. Like said in readme we are aware of the fact that full install would help some users, we'll think about it for next release, no promises.

As always, thanks for everyone who has been helping and providing feedback, very much appreciated. Keep it coming, its the only way to keep the NAM fire burning.

Is it me, or is the Sheridan still crashing the game to desktop afer Patch #2? Maybe it is me... :(

I forgot to mention that the proper way to install this is to first have the main VTE installed. Then run Patch #1 and finally run Patch #2.

main VTE -> Patch #2 will not work alone!

Hope that helps.

No indeed its bugged.

If you want to fix this yourself, open the VTE_land.pbo, rename m551.p3d to VTE_m551.p3d and pack up the dir back to VTE_land.pbo then it should work.

I cannot believe how I missed that, but it seems that the filename got lost during the pbo patching and swapping I did here. Oh well, live and learn.

Are there any vietnamese civilians planned?
Like women, that you don't suspect to be dangerous
in the first place?
I had the idea while making a mission to
have some civilian suicide bombers walk around in a
town or having civilians open fire on US troops while
passing villages. Could be a nice option.

Change the model of LVTP-5. I think there're a LVTP's in ROC mod, COnflicto De Malvinas mod and Pedagne Mod

VTE Development News Update!

Some news tip from the development labs. The next version of VTE will be full install, so nobody has to use that scary PboPatch. The reason is that there has been already so many changes/updates to the files that its not suitable for patching anymore (well it is if you know your stuff) so we have decided to put out full install instead.

I do not know whether the install is smaller or larger than the previous 330mb. It will be naturally only in RAR format which causes no problems like exe installers.

And no, no release dates in mind. But should be soon. As soon as we feel comfortable with the latest edits.
