On all tiles transitions with the transiton program are not made and no n8tlightning is implemented so far. We need to paint rivers too for the river program to use (showtime)

Thanks again! Yes the colors are a little off - but as I explained and you suggested the first thing is to adjust the 3 main colors gamma settings, the hue and the saturation of the sat pic before making the tiles :) I would especially like to see someone else doing european 512 textures from these ...

Frame rate is nearly not affected at all by the graphic thread on my system (1050Mhz, some months ago Tnt2, now Gf4) Somebody has experience with Afghanistan? (512 theater) BTW: Upcoming lomac - from screenies seems to use less than a 0.2meter resolution that means 10 times "our" - for F4 pretty adv...

AS for river tiles with all the transitions of the river from all directions (16 like roads) I'm hoping for a tool for now that does the most work. Sat pics are needed nevertheless and i encourage everyone to discuss about the look of a river from above. Sat pics show water pretty strange and indeed...

It came to my ears that the kind of farmland is not common in iraq. The left one of the first concept screen is indeed not from middle east - the latest one is from the surroundings of the iranian arak facility...

Considering the whole graphic engine was -except for special effects/explosions - nearly irrelevant to the lowest fps numbers and considering the advances in technology compared to the time it takes to develope textures i'll take the risk of 512 only :D I'd go so far to immagine trying 1024 textures...

One terrain type in ODS is irrigated land - i think that's supposed to be the kind of terrain actually useful to the people so to say - with some water = green = farming No from limited sat pic resource i made these two generic tiles for testing - the more greenish/regular is actually from a desert ...

Yes decreasing the tile size would be a big advance imo - thats why I keep asking Wids for his theater :D. the texture afaik will always be the size of the tile so the resolution will increase. A 250m tile with 512 textures would mean a resolution of 0.5meter per pixel - the same as 2048 texture on ...

Thx - it would be cool to have a larger getting pool of various 512 textures usable by anyone doing theaters... With some tools i heard of - transitions won't be much time consuming ;) ;)

EDIT: RESOLUTION FOR 512x512 pixel is 2 meter per 1 PIXEL! not vice versa i suggested in the text above (at 3am :) ccc normally gfx in f4 dont really affect the problematic fps... If your rig can handle a campaign than it can handle bigger textures too. Anything from a TnT2 16MB on will handle textu...

The highest resolution without problems was 2048x2048 over one generic tile. fps without objects were more or less as high as usual with slight choppyness because of the texture loading (4MB per tex). Seems time for a texturing group ? :D

For now i replaced 53 to 55 with white and reloaded the paletta so that psp chooses the next neaerst colors afaik. Then i guess i add some nightlightning later on by choosing appropriate colors and placing them as you said...

I've resized some of them in proper scale and saved it as 2048 pixel squares (16 times 512's) - some in 512x512.
The hard work is the transitions and the n8 lightning i guess.
How do i get the last 5 colors out of the image so it doesnt randomly distribute the n8 lightning pixels?
