F-4D's with the pave knife as seen in the Ubon photo below. F-4D's and F-4E's, i believe, used both pods during the latter part of the war.

Well, now that the theater truly encompasses the SEA region, Snakeman can add the Thai bases http://www.pmctactical.org/f4/cgi-bin/u ... 2&t=000149
Hamm, outstanding B-52 list, U-Tapao Thailand was the only Airbase in SEA for the BUFFS.

They used a self-propelled light tank equiped with several recoiless rifles attached, i believe it was called a "duster." I will see if i can find a pic of it. Too bad most of the Veterans have retired from the service. Back in the late 80's some were still serving and would tell you about the NVA s...

Well, maybe i'm partial to the old nam we made, but i always liked the mix of terrain we had. I've said this too many times, but i like the dirt roads and the 600 or is it 620 series tiles sets? What needs improvement is more huts instead of buildings. The Ho trail and mu gai pass areas looked perfe...

Hmmm, is there any possible way to change the formations of ground units? 99.9% of the time they move in column formation, .05% in line, .05% in wedge. Is this just wishful thinking, Pi in the virtual sky.

Awesome, SEA background doc. almost complete.
Re: Status
If you want to increase the realism, the ground units need more realisitic formations and dispersion. The spacing between tanks and mobile aaa needs to be greater, and more traveling wedge formantions instead of the usual column. Infantry movements and spacing seems to be okay.

if we had the scooter,F-8 and F-105, that would cover 99% as far as ac's go. Most of the work was done with the Thuds.

Last time i tried i lifted off with the Buff. B-52's never flew out of Da Nang. However it is a small thing since you can use F4browse to change it. B-52's flew out of Guam and U Taphao,Thailand but we couldn't fit either of them on the 10x10map,maybe later.

I think the Silkman or maybe it was compg that was making some jungle tiles, and some rice paddies tiles. As it is now, its not too bad, much of it with dirt roads meandering through it, like the Mu gai Pass area, are surrealistic.
