Re: Campaign Manifesto-POL and PRI issue.
AFAIK reading the Tacedit help POL stands for P rimary O bjective L isting, but PRI seems to be short of Pri orities. Primary Objectives are those cities with Priority equal or greater than 81. PAK means something like " P rimary A reas of ( K )onflict" (or (K)ombat). It's funny you don't see anythi...

Once we know this file format is time to think about some apps that could make use of the new knowledge. I open this thread in pursuit of your ideas. But first I put a couple of my own (very obvious, really): 1.-Automatic objective linking. That is the major time-eating task in theater making, and i...

My conclusion so far is, road network is important, especially objects must be connected with roads, or your units will be stuck over the first object captured. ... I can just add, everyone check your THR files at 2x zoom level in Tac Edit Map View (ALT+R, Relief Map) to be sure your THR files are ...

Re: Which Theater should be modded/further developed first?
I have voted this three: -Taiwan: I agree with Derstef. The reasons he gave are strong. Perhaps Campaigns need to start from a given point (half divided island) so the ground war goes smoothly. -ODS: it is the flag theater of PMC, and a jewel that needs a little polish to be nearly perfect. Perhaps ...

Here in F4Spain we could make good testing with that tweaked tool, if you need it. We are in the process of correcting our CATE tiling, and I can see 1 or 2 things to be made with CATE after hand correction..

Those tiles are very good, man. And your point is great, too: natural transitions will always be better than hand-made ones.

Perhaps the coders could blend areas where the popping is about to kick in. I say, make the 3d engine render both and paint them with a degree of transparency, the higher Lx level increasing transparency and the lower Lx level decreasing transparency as we approach them. Il2 makes something s...

So I thought when I used it. I remade all coast tiles to use this sea tile(huge work :( ). They are free to be used in other theaters, just credit me.. On the perfectionist side, I think now it is slightly too bright. Perhaps it is a common palette matter. BTW: Thank you very much CCC for the "Prínc...

Re: Taiwan PAK Map fixed
I thought last Taiwan beta included my PAK Map fix! (See picture in last CCC's post) As I've said before, every fix to the PAK Map picture will not work with other cams, if they are not coherent. So it has to be changed in all three campaigns, with agreement of Snakeman. There is not a problem in it...

Another step in this search. I've been able to create a palette with the file that Map Editor creates from a given terrain. The file is a bmp 24 bits, if I simply reduce colors to indexed, PhotoShop is not creating the palette right. I have to made it myself, one colour by one. Luckily I could save ...

Only to add that the mesh in Falcon is not exactly fixed, because Islandic Theater is L2 mesh ~250m and L0 mesh ~75 m resolution. Rest of the theaters, AFAIK L2 mesh ~1000 m and L0 ~250 m. Each tile maps to a L2 polygon, so then, if 256 px, then 1 px ~4 m ; if 512 px, then 1 px ~2 m ; and if 1024 px...

I don't have experience with tri files, but, to me, they seem like scripts that are evaluated in a continous loop through the duration of the campaign, except for the inialisation chapter.
