That could be used but one problem... The fire does not expand and i thought that would be a very unique feature to the napalm. the growth factor should be easily added.

That is a nice napalm.It does run a little heavy though .I wouldnt like to be in the area if 2 or 3 aircraft drop 1 each in the same area.I wouldnt think it would be too hard to replicate a VTE/better FPS version so as not to offend original author/s.I do like the Napalm cannisters too though :)

Snake man whats your thoughts on the Napalm effect?

This is more like what i had imagined and hoped for with the nicer Arma graphics engine.It kinda reminds me of the very good RKT Napalm of OFP days.


In my opinion i think this is nicer than the pre-alpha stage VTE Naplam we are using as of now.

The creator/s are into NAM stuff so ta may not be too much to ask t include hopefully.

This would be one of those things that combined with some real cool Nam Aircraft (VTEMOD :) ) would make the Mod almost too addictive .lol.

If permissions are not given i see no reason why a "clone" couldnt be made.

This is the Naplam i will be using in my private missions.(even if i have to make an addon myself) :)


I f you havnt cheked this out Snake man i recommend you do.


Lesson learnt from the old OFP days-

Sometimes we have spent months trying do something that has already been done.If only we just spent a couple of minutes looking around at other peoples work we could have saved ourselves a hell of alot of time and effort that couldve been spent in game having fun and playing the bloody thing. :)

I am fully aware of this addon. In the BIS topic granQ asked if it can be used in VTE but they did not reply.

Lets hope it just hasnt been seen yet.

"clone" maybe.Thers nothing wrong with lookn and learnn.After all 99% of people started modifying other peoples work to learn from before actually making something thats 100% there own work.Remember we all modify BIS work and dont even think to ask them :wink:

See if you can have it keep on growing untill you drop water from this on it and that puts it out. You could just simply remodle it or repaint it to look more Namish.
This will make the games require more teamwork.

And also you probably know this but napalm doesn't damage units.

The problem with ever growing napalm and your idea of using a Bombardier 415 to put out the fire is realism. The Bombardier 415, was only introduced in 1994 about 19 years after the end of the Vietnam war. Also, from the damage I have done with the in game napalm, it does the initial damage just fine, I am guessing since we are still in pre-alpha it will be awhile till the napalm keeps doing the damage. [regarding consistent damage, there is a scud mod which allows you to fire a nuke, and if you visit the bomb site, you can die of radiation still http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=1459]
