well it matters... some of the voices sound really wierd... i tried to have a variety of voices for different people so it doesnt sound like the same person talking to you all the time. although you can kinda tell one person did all the sounds.

and when i send them they will be tons of .rar files that are about 1 mb each since i only have a 56k :( and 1 mb still takes a while to send. of course thats when i get my modem working... :P

and is there any reason you didnt do the voices your self snake man?

I dont have any voice actors to do such work. First I used the computer generated voices but it sounded too bad.

well what i meant was record your own voice

and if you included the voices in the next version would it be 1.1 or just another revision?

very interesting joejidds. the campaign would become perfect if you can hear radio voices. i hope i can hear your work in the next version of pmc-fury. it's a important part for better atmosphere. we'll see...

of course you may think the voices sound bad and decide its not worth it...

i have finished about 50 missions right now and its all nicely put into 10 .rar files that are about 1mb each. mission 48 is in its own 1mb file.

and when you get them you might want to convert them to .wav and make them louder since some times you cant hear them when youre in a chopper or something.

Best would be if you have some place where to put them for me to download. If not, then email. I'm not sure how big my inbox here is but if there is lot of megs, we need to transfer them in small pieces.

its not perfect, but it *is* the *best* addon out there. All credit to you Snake. Voices would make it even betterer. I hope that you'll want to add at least some of my revised 'war situations' too.
::) I love this campaign. I've play it often, and each time its different enough (at the same rev an patch) to keep me permanently interested.

I'm looking forward to hearing the voices and trying out to play the mission with them included.

There will be definitely at least one update, since I have couple of bugs pending. Also the new briefings should get in I hope.

well i actually would like to finish the radio voices but i dont have any time now because of school, but i can find a way... maybe ill send them to you for a christmas present or something... but you need to get gmail. i sent you an invite. i wont be able to send them to you unless you have a big enough email account. i could give you the password to my eatlead@gmail.com account... and you could use that if you dont change the password on it...

and another reason i cant do the voices is because im not living on my own nor have i graduated from high school yet so if i did the recording when my mom and dad were home theyd be like "wierd kid" or something

go to my site to test some voices ive done for this campaign. its the ariborne mission. theyre all fuzzy cuz they were so low in volume when i increased it they became all fuzzy.
the mission is that one airborne recon mission in the beginning of the game. i chose that one since it has a good number of voices.

my site: http://www.freewebs.com/joekidds

here is the link:
http://www.freewebs.com/joekidds/pmcfuryradiotest.rar

now do you want me to continue considering the voices are so cheap and will be all fuzzy like?

yeah. i have about the first 53 missions done and was about to do the last 7 of everon when my mic wasnt working. but i will probably upload/email the .rar packets tomorrow at school since the internet is faster there. all the voices right now are in 11 .rar packets around 1 mb each except for 2 which are about 700kb each. so i could upload them to my freewebs site or i could email them to you. whichever one. i think they will be at my sight probably. all 11 in one 10mb .rar file. http://www.freewebs.com/joekidds <-- my site
http://www.freewebs.com/joekidds/pmcfuryradio01-11.rar <-- possible file name for .rar file.

http://www.freewebs.com/joekidds/pmcfuryradio1-11.rar <-- the file. missions 1-53 with voices
so here i am at school and its uploaded now.

I think the same as when I spent a week tidying up the html for 253+ briefings and was ignored.

Ofpec is crying out for voice actors. Go there.

Can anyone tell me how i install the files?
"copy them into the pmc fury missions folder"
What folder does that mean?

Did you tested it, Snake?

by Snake Man
I didn't test them when they were made (long time ago). Of course I appreciate the work joekidds and Mike here did.

But I guess they headed off to ofpec where you get dancing bananas posts 1 millisecond after your posts :)

Anyways.

If you plan to install the files, if joekidds did maintain the directory structure, then you just need to copy the dirs/files over the unpacked (pbo unpacked) pmc_fury directory, then you can use PboX to pack it again into PBO and put some of the campaigns/ directories wheter its original <ofproot>/campaigns/ or one in your various MOD directories.
