Found Panther's post on Frugals, he pointed us to this nice site:
http://www.simviation.com/fsdmilitary%5B1%5D.htm
http://www.simviation.com/menu.html
very nice models, I used to search MSFS resources, ask programmers for MDL file converter for F4.
no sucess yet.

Re: FS2000 a/c models...for F4?
I've downloaded 80% files in military a/c section.
now, can some MSFS fans tell me, where to find "MDL converter"?
I got some MDL to DXF format converters, but they wont work on latetst complex models, especially those delicated, prize-wining a/c.
BTW, 2d cockpit makers should have a look at their 54 pages of military a/c files. lots nice pic could be used for front views.

Hi CCC,
I know in the FS2002 you can make new models from Gmax throw some kind of "gamepack". So that should solve the MDL problem. Now we should have that model in max- format.
Now comes a new problem. How to get the max model to 3DS.
I've downloaded a Scriped to Gmax that should (from what I read)deel with that "problem".
One the Gmax-support you find lods of information streaming in all the time. http://www.gmaxsupport.com/

good idea, i'd better stop modeling, MSFS fans could build our favorite a/c in GMAX format, in few weeks, free download! then we take all of them, convert into 3ds with your script, then lod format.. ya, i like it!

yea...
I've fliped upside down on the FS-community for a mdl convertor... no joy!
There are some good 3DS models on this site http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/meshes.asp
I also find out that the mdl convertor in FS2002 can only export models

Re: FS2000 a/c models...for F4?
There isn't possibility to export model from gmax to 3DS ( and apparently
won't be, because gmax is for free )
Export is available only through special gamepack for concrete game - e.g.for FS2002.
But most of the today's models for FS2000/CFS2 are created with FS Design Studio,
( http://www.abacuspub.com/catalog/s411.htm ) which is wery nice tool.
My friend Jiri Masnik recently created a plugin for export / import for
FSDS, so now all FSDS models could be converted into DXF format. So imagine
yourself all the possibility.
But these source models aren't generally available - only when the author wants to do it.
So if you would like to convert some plane created for FS2000, which you like and and saw somewhere, you can try to contact its author, if he would like to share his model.
I already have several models created in FSDS ( also in AutoCAD ), which could be possible in F4:
L29 Delfin ( older jet trainer, but still in service in many countries )
L39 Albatros - jet trainer
L159 ALCA ( Advanced Light Combat Aircraft ) - it has avionics similar to F16/18
F18C/D/E/F
You can see some shots on my page: http://www.mlk-airbase.wz.cz
Regards

Re: FS2000 a/c models...for F4?
Welcome Miran!
In case you dont know, Miran's flightsim mods cover many sims, from Jane's titles to MSFS. All his a/c texture art, 2d cockpit art, and 3d modeling are top-notched! Be sure to visit his page!
Now come to the point, our LodEditor cannot import dxf format yet, so i used to convert dxf to 3ds with 3ds max.
Regretfully the vertices/normals could be disrupted thru this process, so many converted models cannot be viewed in LE. Hope we can solve the problem in the future.
BTW, could you make some nice skins for Falcon4 community?
