F-111 Loadout fixed

Post by 42jeff » 2001-03-08 02:16:00

I got the loadout fixed via f4browse...only now I have a few questions.

How do I make it F4patch friendly?
How do I enable these weapons to become...active for lack of a better word...in the Nam' campaign? All I get is "OUT" on all the "new" weapons. I realize some of them weren't developed at the time, but the CBU-52 and -58 I believe were. As well as the Mk 20 and Mk 77.

Um...I guess that's it for now.

Help? Please?

Tell you what, if you guys get together a complete list of the loadout modifications you want(and on what aircraft) along with the Pylon changes, the stores you want each squadron to have available and I'll build a vietnam patch to hold you over until RPG has time to get to this theater. RP5 will be out soon so these changes will be only for RP4.1 data.

flyable Harrier included in RP5?

and, it seems better to build vnam tweak based on RP5.

Negative on the harrier. Still much more flight model work to be done + cockpits not done. RP5 should be close to release in a few weeks. If you guys can get me an excel spead sheet with your recommended loadouts to date ill see what I can do to get an interim patch together. It can be done off of either RP. Your choice.

Thank you, now I'm just wondering who would want to do this excel sheet.

Anyone?

I'll do the 111. I should have it done before I go to work this afternoon.

Snake, I have a contact working on the accurate Vietnam table. Need to know a few things though, What campaign/period of the war would you like simulated? As you know, aircraft and weapons varied. For instance, the Phantom did not have a gun from the early to mid part of the war and relied on Missles. The problem that plagued the craft was that ROE dictated that a visual id had to be made on bandits which often times put the craft in gun range(without a gun!). So depending upon the historical part you'd like to simulate, loadouts will be adjusted. The other problem is the number of non-F4 aircraft that must be simulated F-105 thunder chief for instance, put in some major hours in the campaigns. We can probably use some of the aircraft in the sim and modify them for our needs and use some special skinning techniques to get them to look desireable. At present only a handful of plains are currently in the campaign(F4E,A6,E3,C130,F111,B52,F14,mig19,
mig21,tu16,il-28,choppers) so some hefty manipulations will be needed. General stuff-we need are DMZ markings on the map, we need to get battles spread out off of the east coast into jungle/ hill areas; We need to show borders on the map; we need to setup army camp base areas; etc. Basically, a lot of work needs to be done.
